** A meta example from that scene: after Barret lashes out at Red, calling him a bad dog and yelling that he (Barret) has no friends, Red [[TheWoobie takes it pretty hard]]. The comment section for Episode 16 is filled with viewer reactions in the vein of "Is Red going to be OK??" and "Red is a good boy, he didn't deserve this!"

* Meta example: The crew more or less went for a straight interpretation of [[GainaxEnding the game's ending, ambiguities and all]].

** Cloud takes time to visit the Shinra Mansion basement to monologue to Zack about his adventures, but also asking for last-minute guidance. In the middle, he refers to AVALANCHE as his family, but at the same time, there's a strong LeaningOnTheFourthWall feel to it, as if using Cloud and Justin Briner as a mouthpiece, the creators are thanking both their staff and their fans for all their hard work and support. Especially poignant given that this is Antfish's MagnumOpus and the grand finale of Team Four Star's abridging projects, at least for now.

** Later, after Scarlet belittles Reeve, Tifa is pissed at her for doing that. Becomes [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments hilarious]] though when you realize it's NotSoDifferent from how she usually treats [[ButtMonkey Cloud]], who {{lampshades}} it.

** Though we never hear [[NoodleIncident exactly what she said]], Tifa shares some words of comfort with Aerith, which she in turn appreciates. Tifa even says that she [[NotSoDifferent empathizes with Aerith's situation.]] After a whole series of bickering, maybe this shows that they can be friends after all.

* In a [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext really weird way]], the bodybuilder cultists from Episode 5 choosing to give Aerith and Cloud the wig counts as this. They initially challenge Cloud to a lifting competition for ownership of the wig, but immediately cuts it short when [[TheCutie Aerith]] accidentally implies that Cloud is someone who's [[{{Transgender}} "turning into]] [[WholesomeCrossdresser a woman"]]. Regardless of the subsequent misunderstanding, it's becomes doubly heartwarming when the bodybuilder cultists' leader insists on giving them the wig, saying "Nobody should be challenged for their lifestyle."

** The fact that the [[DidTheyOrDidntThey ambiguity]] of the original scene is kept to give more focus to their cuddling is sweet, made sweeter considering how we first met these takes on the characters.

* In Episode 28, after saving whats left of his town from a dangerous, runaway train, Barrett is finally forgiven by his townspeople.

The show may have been a parody, but it stayed true to the characters, the story, and the emotions to the very end. Team Four Star ended their era of abridging not with irony, but sincerity.

** Unlike the originals, it turns out the WEAPONs, or at least Ultimate, aren't mindless monsters simply acting as GaiasVengeance. With Red translating, Ultimate has been observing AVALANCHE and judges them to be [[GetBackHereBoss determined]], strong and worthy as heroes who can protect the Planet. Hence, he gifts Ultima Weapon to Cloud before crashing and dying near Cosmo Canyon.

*** Tifa saying she misses Aerith is both this and TearJerker. Remember, these two were at each other's throats for most of the journey, only laying off the vitriol after Gongaga. While they never really reconciled and they did not have the best relationship among the group, Tifa openly admits that she did appreciate having Aerith around, however short their time was together.

*** As the first season since the completion of her and Cloud's CharacterDevelopment, not once does Tifa act any level of bitchy to the party members, least of all Cloud. Even when Yuffie resists the idea of hammering things out with her dad, she talks to her calmly and rationally, gently guiding her to the idea rather than outright forcing her to go through with it. Especially sweet is her moment with Cloud. Even her infamous "do me a solid" catchphrase is rendered sweetly when that "solid" is five more minutes snuggling up to Cloud.
