*** It also turns out it wasn't a TrailersAlwaysSpoil case as according to one review on Amazon, it likely came as a bonus with an art magazine a few months after movie release. So its actually CliffhangerCopout.

*** CLAMP's endings for many of their works (especially the interconnected TsubasaReservoirChronicle & XXXHolic) go on the lines of "will be HappilyEverAfter", without going into details, leaving fans guessing! The manga is a rare case of ending with "Are HappilyEverAfter" (actually shows it.)
** The opinions have been moved towards YMMV where there can be discussion.
** Basically, leaving aside all argument, this troper (everyone who saw this) found the picture truly heartwarming and so bothered to put it up here.
* The ending of episode 22 of the anime. Sakura spent most of the episode trying to help out with chores so that her dad could finish her research paper, but upon capturing the card of the week, she accidentally breaks his computer, resulting in all that work being lost. And yet her dad is not angry, but takes her home to cheer her up. The next day, he even decides to stay home to work rather than go to his university office and reaffirms that with Sakura's help, they can finish the paper together. Understatement What a nice guy.
* Nearly the entirety of Episode 67, after being comforted by Syaoran after being rejected by Yukito, Sakura is insistant on showing her thanks in some manner, devoting several sleepless nights to making him a scarf. In particular her shyly presenting him his gift (with Syaoran's expected reaction) is exceptionally touching. While most Sakura*Syaoran episodes were placed from Syaoran's perspective and his overwelming infatuation with her, this takes place largely from Sakura's point of view, showing how greatly her opinion and relationship with Syaoran has changed, from an intimidating arrogant rival to a gentle close friend who's very presence tends to bring her happiness.

**** There's no debunking it being official, however it can still just be a generic image made to promote the movie than representing the ending per se. The backdrop (which is a generic sky color rather than the tower) leaves no clue as to where the scene is based and Sakura's posing may be a simple coinsidence. There are lots of official pics with Sakura and Syaoran hugging, even in their movie costumes. Even if it is officially stated to be the true ending it likely would have been appreciated a lot more animated in the actual movie.

Even if it is official stated to be the true ending it likely would have been appreciated a lot more animated in the actual movie.

** Long Distance is the major issue at the manga end, but it's implications are considerably toned down in the anime with characters liberally using air travel anytime the situation demands. The anime brought in a long and dramatic Second Movie to show the strength of their love instead. In some style...

* Nearly the entirety of Episode 67, after being comforted by Syaoran after being rejected by Yukito, Sakura is insistant on showing her thanks in some manner, devoting several sleepless nights to making him a scarf.
