This game as a whole is a love letter from Sony to the history of the Platform/PlayStation line, one that serves as a nostalgic museum of the entire brand's history going back to The90s, from its landmark titles to its obscure oddities. Some standout moments include:
* The last room of each of the four main levels is a recreation of the startup sequence of a [=PlayStation=] console. Hearing the old [=PlayStation=] 1 or [[Platform/PlayStation2 2]] startup sounds again is sure to bring a nostalgic tear to the eye of those who grew up on those consoles. Even better is that when interacting with each of the four consoles as Artifacts, the game's UI shifts to mimic their respective save system menus!
* Each level is packed with Astrobots re-enacting scenes from various [=PlayStation=] games, from well-known hits like ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot'', ''VideoGame/HorizonZeroDawn'', ''VideoGame/TheLastOfUs'', and ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid'' to obscure titles like ''VideoGame/Puppeteer2013'', ''VideoGame/{{Tearaway}}'', and ''VideoGame/VibRibbon.''
* Pressing any of the directions on the D-pad will have Astro start dancing. It's adorable just watching the little guy jam out and have fun.
* The Platform/PlayStation4 gets one final sendoff when you find its artifact at the end of Mt. Motherboard. It's only four words, but it says it all: "Promised greatness. Delivered more."
* The BGM of GPU Jungle is sung by your GPU, in which it basically says that it's happy to do whatever you want it to do. [[ShownTheirWork It also describes, albeit in basic terms, how GPUs actually work!]]
