** While only one person actually gets killed, it's entirely possible that the chainsaw was used to butcher the rest of the corpses, leaving them chainsawed when the authorities finally found what was left of them.

* Why doesn't the trucker start the engine once sally is safe in the cab? Leatherface is still hacking at the iron door with a chainsaw and they could drive safely away.

Removing non-examples. Narm isn't a headscratcher, and there are clear in-story reasons for why Franklin didnt receive immediate help, and why he was the at all.

* Why, when Franklin was cut with a razor by the Hitchhiker, did the crew not make it their top priority to get him to a hospital/clinic? Or at least sterilize the wound with some soap or something. Instead, they just make a makeshift bandage for him. I know if a crazy guy who works with meat with a (probably) dirty blade, I would ''definitely'' want to see a doctor post-haste.
** They were in a seemingly supply-less van in what appeared to be the middle of nowhere. Crappy makeshift bandages were probably all they had, and they probably stupidly thought it would be enough.
** Also, in the following scene, they pull up to a gas station only to find no fuel. Chances are, even if they wanted to get Franklin to a hospital, they wouldn't have gotten far.
** Also, these are young kids in the 1970s. At a time when streaking, sun tan and lawn darts were popular, It's likely a small cut like that was thought to be of little concerned.
* Why take a wheelchair-bound man like Franklin on a road trip to a region where the roads are dicey at best and non-existent at worst? I understand his buddies wanting to include him, but they might have picked an activity where they could all participate. I'm not sure if off-road wheelchairs were even available in the seventies, though I doubt it.
** He's there because he and Sally wanted to make sure their grandfather's grave wasn't robbed, and the house they visit was also their grandfather's. They did have a reason to be out that far.
* The way the Cook kidnapped Sally. He got a broom and started hitting her with it until she got into his bag. Try that with anyone else.
** It becomes a lot less {{Narm}} when the broom end breaks off, and he's just beating her with a wooden club.

** While only one person actually gets killed, it's entirely possible that the chainsaw was used to butcher the rest of the corpses, leaving them chainsawed when the authorities finally found what was left of them.
* We see the Hitchhiker drops what appears to be a coat. It makes me wonder if it had any correlation, or if it was even a coat.

** This is actually a main undertone of the film . A social commentary on how media likes to blow stories out of proportion and make things sound ten times worse than they really are. The story literally begins like a documentary and if you pay close attention in the first act, the news on radio doesn't sound too bright and colorful.

* Why is it called ''Texas Chainsaw Massacre'', if only one person is actually killed by a chainsaw. I'm probably reading too much into it. But I find it a little odd.
