**** So... how exactly could dragons have ruined the world in which they'd have to contend with fighter jets for aerial supremacy aagain?

** Possibly a boat smeared in dead dragon bits? they do say dead dragon repels the living ones, as they were dragonslayers, it would make sense for them to know some way to avoid a unexpected attack.
* Isn’t it evolutionary problematic for the dragons to somehow have only ever had one Male?, I understood that he is ancient and that he hibernated for millions of years but they are still mortal animals with a lifespan so surely the Male would have died at some point with or without the humans doing anything. Surely the only way the dragons would survive would be for when the Male bull dies for a female to change gender like some real-life animals and become the new Male dragon?
* If the female dragons only live for a few weeks then how did the dragons repopulate and claim the earth if only the bull can live millions of years to be awoken from hibernation, should’t at least a few females have to live a similar lifespan?.

*** Yup, that is specifically mentioned. And if a big plane like that was fixed up to be able to fly there isn't even much a dragon could do to it. At take-off speed, it would probably already be moving over 200mph and would be going more than twice as fast in flight. I doubt the dragons would be able to fly fast enough to tangle with that plane once it was moving even if they could match its cruising height (which they wouldn't be able to do either).

* So how did the Americans transport their equipment from the U.S. to Britain if it's shown the dragons have essentially destroyed human civilization and rule the skies?
