*** This fandom tends to read Finn's actions as more malignant than they are. I think the 'flying to NYC to get into a fight with Brody' and the 'stay away from my future wife' were pretty bad, and the fact that Rachel's hailing them as the actions of a hero is tone-deaf, even for her, but I don't necessarily think anything as nefarious as Finn 'asserting his ownership' over Rachel is going on. He cares about her a lot, and as noted in 'I Do'--he's kind of convinced that they're always going to find their way back to one another--so to me the 'stay away from my future wife' was more of a 'don't you dare hurt the woman I love more than anyone else' than a 'she belongs to only me' thing. As the above Troper pointed out, Finn's horrible at phrasing things, and there ''is'' definitely some undue possessiveness going on, but I don't think he's as evil as some people want to believe he is.

*** Emma didn't do anything wrong, but that makes it even more glaringly frustrating that she didn't ''tell'' Will. The reason Jake, Marley and Ryder were able to resolve their issues so quickly is that Marley was honest--she told Jake that Ryder had kissed her and she hadn't stopped him--and because he heard it from her, and not someone else, Jake was able to forgive her, and they were able to resolve it. As you say, Emma has nothing to feel guilty about, so she should have just told Will what happened. Will probably still ''should'' feel a little annoyed at Emma about her secrecy.

** Why is Artie okay with a one-night stand? I feel like the show's made very clear that Artie is very much willing and eager when it comes to sex. He was upset about losing his virginity to Brittany, because he wanted that to be meaningful, but since then, he seems to have lightened up.
