** As there's no concrete evidence, it wouldn't be too unreasonable to admit they have no solid proof of anything, but they could mention the note and their own research to bring what actually happened up as "a theory".
* also the creepy hostorian they were working with, being as obsessed as he is with Alberta, probably would be able to take a closer look at her boyfriend with a little prompting, possibly leading to a closer look at Thomas. This would never be enough to conclusively prove a murder, but may at least point to a stronger proof of the relationship making hima stronger suspect and probably be enough to bring some sensational attention to the podcast. It's doubtful that they would have left proof proof, but with Thomas being a wealthy man of that time period it's more likely he would have other letters that would have been preserved to compare his handwriting, and things like being close enough to Al Capone (a noted historical figure of intrest) at the party, and the probably public record of business dealing with Alberta's boyfriend would have been traceable....plus as you point out his name started with a T, which would probably be enough to suggest to the Historian to take a look at all of that just for the sake of checking every possibility.

* In "The Traveling Agent," Jay loses Pete at the store. This is explained as Jay not being able to see or hear Pete, so Jay didn't realize they were no longer together. Knowing this was possible, why wasn't Sam to one who took Pete to the store?

*** Episode 8 of Season 3 clears up how Hetty died. She may have consumed cocaine the day she died, but there was no evidence that she was high at the time. Drug use was not the cause of death and there are clear indications on her body of how she died.

died. Keep in mind that she is practically covered from head to toe in her dress, so the reveal of how she died and how no one can tell makes sense.

*** It's likely Hetty was also high on cocaine when she died and, in fact, could've also died of a drug-induced heart attack, seeing as she has no permanent injuries on her body like Flower, Stephanie, and Crash do.

**Trevor has mentioned owning stock in Blockbuster, Enron, and other closed/bankrupt businesses. He also recommended that they get advice from Bernie Madoff. In addition, he (along with Pete and Flower) fell for the Nigerian Prince scam. If he had offered to make them money, based on that track record alone, Sam and Jay would be right to not accept any financial advice from him.

Sass was the one who took more interest in the guys

** Trevor, understandably, was traumatized by the dying and was being eased into the after-life by Sass; the other might have lost interest while the boys were carrying the body out of the house. Or, they might have dumped the body outside the ghost boundaries, and it eventually floated to the bridge.
