*What was the point of Olban brainwashing all of Baam into being his slaves, when it would have been easier to just earn their favour by doing his ordinary ruling duties? Most Baam never rebelled against him anyway until he started killing them all of a sudden. Wouldn't turning them into mindless slaves be ''detrimental'' to him, because now he's deprived his planet of scholars/creative thinkers/engineers/artists/educators? Apart from his own cult of personality, what did Olban have to gain from this?

** Imagine if Olban's heart stopped because of heartburn or some other medical condition - would that mean that all the Baamites would instantly die? Does Small Baam jerk closer to Jupiter every time Olban holds his breath? Did he not think through what would happen if he no longer had any subjects to rule? Without an empire, a King would have no purpose, and he would just be another Baamite. If Olban had kids and died of old age, would they be left Small Baam-less?

*I was reading a review of ''Daimos'' and it brought up a really good point about Olban's heartbeat being linked to the Baamites in cryostatis -
-->'''[[http://www.anime-games.co.uk/VHS/anime/star-birds-daimos.php Review]]:''' ''"It's all well and good if Olban is assassinated, then he'd want the colony destroyed, but what if he was just hit by a bus while out for a walk one day. Or suffered a heart attack at a intergalactic service station diner. In that case there would be no need for a billion people to follow him into the light."''

* Why did Olban need to marry Erika to legitimize himself as the King? He was already universally accepted as Small Baam's ruler.

** Perhaps Olban was hoping Erika will come to hate humans upon encountering them during an Earth-Baam War just like her brother Ritcher did, and it would be easier to convince her to be by his side. Unfortunately for him, Erika remains an AllLovingHeroine through and through.

* In episode 40, Miwa's forces find the Undersea castle. Why didn't Miwa use the hydrogen bomb on it? At this point he was already discharged from the UN so he wouldn't have to worry about being kicked off, and he earlier proclaimed that he was going to kill off all the Baamites. In episode 29, Kyoushiro didn't even dispose of the bomb, he just prevented the machinery moving it from operating.

** He is a walking case of StupidEvil, similarly like Zambajil from ''Anime/VoltesV'', although [[CassandraTruth even if someone overhear him plotting to kill Ritcher and tries to tell him, Ritcher will not believe them and doesn't listen to anyone that impedes his campaign against Earth and claim the planet]].

* Why did Isamu Ryuuzaki agree to house the Balmites on a whim, without asking any questions further than "where are the other Baam?"? Why didn't he ask how the Balm refugees would assimiliate into Earthern society, ask about their customs and culture, ask if King Leon's authority counts anymore since his nation collapsed and ask why they chose Earth instead of any other planet? Hell, one of the Balm's customs are practicing public execution, how is a culture like that compatible with Earth's? If the Balmites culture is challenged and rightfully called barbarian, would those who refuse to abandon it be deported? Would they be punished by Earthern forces, or King Leon if they broke any laws/used their SchizoTech to torture people? What if integration failed, what would be Isamu's plan then?

*Why did Olban send Erika with Richter (therefore putting her at risk of death in the war) if he was in love with her and wanted to make her his wife? Or did his attraction for her bloom after she departed from small Balm?
