I'm not even sure there was anything to get; maybe it was just a slapped-together series of horror and torture porn ideas, brainstormed by a group of oily fifteen-year-olds whose parents let them drink too much soft drinks and watch late-night television. It's pretentious, as well, with all the religious imagery and messing with our sense of reality, but at the end of the day, the only thing you need to "outlast" is your fucking gag reflex.

-->The intro spent just a bit too much time establishing the incredibly contrived series of events leading up to the crossover, so I'm assuming Ubisoft had the larger hand in that side of things; if it had been left to Nintendo, it would have been "Mario and Rabbids meet in a field, Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach, and [[ScrappyMechanic here's some horrible motion controls we're not going to let you turn off]]". Basically, someone invents a device that combines two things into one thing, Rabbids randomly show up and nick it, and the lab is, for some reason, full of Mario action figures. And for this reason, they all get teleported to the Mushroom Kingdom, where Mario and Princess Peach are going through the tense motions of yet another day of meaningless royal ceremony and passionless PitySex. Mario and chums must then restore order by '''''murdering''''' [[TheIllegal all the unwanted foreign immigrants]] with [[LesCollaborateurs the aid of some Rabbids who have dressed up like Mushroom Kingdom residents to show their willingness to collaborate with the Peach administration's]] [[FinalSolution genocidal atrocities]]. * At the end of the video, Yahtzee's complaint on how much work it takes in dealing with the controls gives us this gem:

to:

* The entire opening of the review, where Yahtzee first wonders if the game has [[ARareSentence a special algorithm for determining the color of the main character's urine based on their current hydration level]], and then wonders if any other game developer aside from Creator/HideoKojima could make him consider something that bizarre.
-->'''Yahtzee:''' Perhaps that alone is what makes him worth celebrating, even if his new game is more weird and boring than getting cornered by a caffeinated anime fan who wants to talk about his crossover fanfic between ''Anime/AttackOnTitan'' and ''Series/LastOfTheSummerWine''.
* Yahtzee's comment about the... [[{{Understatement}} complicated]] history of the portrayal of women in Hideo Kojima's games.
-->[[invoked]] I think I've nailed the running theme between Kojima's female characters: they all have perfect, beautiful faces, but something has made [[BodyHorror the rest of their bodies horribly fucked up in some way]], like Kojima's ideal woman is a mannequin head on top of a woman-shaped pile of expired dog food. Damn, I wish he ''had'' made that [[VideoGame/SilentHills Silent Hill game]]; it would've given me [[FetishRetardant the most ambivalent erection of my life!]]
* The remark that "''Death Stranding'' is like an anxious post-graduate at the optician, because it ''[[GenreRoulette desperately needs to focus on something!!]]"''
* At the end of the video, Yahtzee's complaint on review, Yahtzee complains about how much work it takes in dealing with needlessly obtuse the controls gives us are, resulting in this gem:

* Yahtzee earnestly believes that the cult following for Shenmue III is a "decade spanning practical joke", highlighted by the game artlessly using plain Arial and Impact fonts. The SelfDeprecation comes from the fact Yahtzee used Windows Movie Maker for his first review videos.

And then you press Start, as instructed, and the fucking title menu is in plain Impact! See, these are the little things that a person might pick up from actually playing a video game now and then: that doing your title menus with overused default fonts make them look like they were made in Windows Movie Maker!
* Yahtzee is so mad he has to write down his feelings before he sees a small animal and feels compelled to kick it to death.

** Yahtzee's above description is only made funnier in how pretty much anyone who has actually played ''Revengeance'' will agree that his description [[NotMakingThisUpDisclaimer is not that far off the mark]].
** He then goes on to note how following ''VideoGame/NierAutomata'', [=PlatinumGames=] seems to have gone through CerebusSyndrome and become more serious and less flamboyant [[TheyChangedItNowItSucks in a way that he worries is ridding them of their previous unique identity]]:
--->"But ''[=NieR=]: Automata'' was somewhat muted, tonally, at least as far as any game with [[MaleGaze such lovingly-rendered buttocks can be]], and I see a lot of its influence on ''Astral Chain'', especially the music; I was mentally back in ''[=NieR=]: Automata'' every time I went to the astral realm and heard the sound of distant choral voices singing a song inspired by a dial-up modem."

* Yahtzee then goes on to mock some of the game's more "on-the-nose" symbolism:
