* Torvald's ult is essentially the Jolt Poppy Bomb UpToEleven and in the form of a beam. There's no sight more beautiful than activating it and watching as your target is launched to the other side of the map in a heartbeat. Or launches the entire opposing team into the skybox if the map has an open side.

Much of the humor on both sides [[MirrorMatch comes from their similar gameplay between each matchup]], such as Raum and Heavy, where the two {{BFG}} wielders are forced into a stalemate as they continuously fire at each other (anyone who has played Raum against an enemy Raum will tell you that it's ''very'' accurate), Soldier being NotSoDifferent to Khan in terms of their loyalty (USA patriotism vs House Aico) and Jenos immobilizing Spy only for no one to focus on him and allowing Spy to easily retaliate (a very common problem for Jenos, especially in Siege), [[EtTuBrute Skye being fooled by Spy]] after both turn invisible, Maeve killing Scout, but getting sniped by Sniper, while Sniper gets killed by Strix flanking him, and so many more. [[spoiler: Crosses into heartwarming at the last minute when the two groups set aside their differences to close a portal to the BadFuture to stop the Darkness coming to them, with help from Atlas. and the champs are shown to get along for the most part (except Spy and Skye).]]

* Some of the stun animations are also amusing. Makoa's stun animation is him lying on his back with his feet waving about, clearly having trouble getting back up, as turtles are known for. Koga meanwhile has him standing straight, but dazed, while his head waves around in a circling motion, a nice nod to ''VideoGame/MortalKombat'', and so players now have a cue to FinishHim

All this set to a trap remix of the Wii's Mii Channel music. It has to be seen to be believed. The person who made the trap remix was slightly weirded out by the sudden bombardment of Paladins-related comments on the music video

* The Fear status effect is only inflicted by Mal'Damba's ultimate and only for two seconds but [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zt63nlVlnWE every champion has a unique animation for when they are afflicted with it]], some of which are pretty funny. Special mention goes to the rocks Inara has floating over her head somehow falling to ground and following her in a line as if they're also terrified and chasing after her, Makoa's head and arms retreating into his shell in a fittingly turtle-like manner, Strix waving his arms as if he's trying to really complete his [[AnimalMotifs owl motif]] by trying to fly away, and Ying completely curling up as she floats away.
