* Cecil Steadman is the Director of the GDA and approaches every situation with "I-am-so-tired-of-this-shit" attitude that it's clear he's reached the point that he's BoredWithInsanity.

* Omni-Man has a severed tentacle on his cape after his fight with the Cthulhu-like Kaiju, and then jokes to his wife about cooking it.

--> '''Machine Head''': This was ''imported Italian maple.''

* Titan tries to show Invincible how much damage Machine Head is doing to the city. To get around, Invincible [[BridalCarry carries Titan in is arms]] while flying.

* Robot, or Rudy now, is surprisingly forthcoming with what he did and even why, which freaks Rex out to no end

** Cecil's line after Omni-Man destroys the satellite while it still fired.

* The Immortal promptly wakes up literally screaming in a berserk rage, tears the control collar straight off when the Twins activate it and flies through the warehouse roof searching for Omni-Man. The way they go from smug to absolutely terrified is blackly hilarious.

** The Mauler Twin's reaction to The Immortal's post-resurrection rage is funny all on its own, as they realize how much trouble they are in and start slowly backing up with hands up in submission while Immortal is screaming for Omni-Man's head.
** There's also the fact that The Immortal doesn't care about the fact that the Mauler Twins revived him in order to make him their brainwashed slave because he's ''that pissed at Omni-Man.''

* Allen revealing that if he had done his job right, [[CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot they would have warned Earth about the Viltrumite]]. Though Mark does comment that he probably would've told his dad and thus the warning would've been AllForNothing anyway. Allen can't catch a break.
* At the very end of the episode, while Allen the Alien and Mark are discussing what happens next, Allen asks him what the plan is. And after a brief montage of all the villains and other powerful entities yet on the loose...

** As Mark fights "Séance Dog", the latter keeps trying to [[BlatantLies insist that he's totally the comic character made real]], claiming to be from a dimension where "magic and [[EskimosArentReal dogs]] are real" supposedly unlike Earth.

* At the end of the episode, General Kregg addresses an injured Mark and compliments him for his strength. Mark, having just gotten out of unconsciousness, proceeds to (or attempt to) tell Kregg to "go fuck yourself", only for Kregg to interrupt him mid f-bomb by punching him in the face, flick the blood off his hand, and then continue to speak to Mark as if nothing had happened.

** The very fact that this threat with such unlimited power who requires so many heroes gathering to fight him is given the reverence of being a mere CutawayGag. The Immortal sounds much more ''annoyed'' by this guy than defiant or tense.

* Cecil cuts off the dramatic, ''long winded'' build up of Shapesmith's confession to the Guardians about being a Martian, stating that they all ''long'' knew that and that he wouldn't have let him join the team without knowing his background.

* Shapesmith sharing his backstory and how he got to Earth; he basically knocked the real Rus Livingston out (hard enough to ''shatter the glass of his helmet''), took his form, and just left him on the ground. 'smith seems to skim over this ''exact'' detail and tries to move on to how he was inspired to be a hero on Earth before Samson cuts him (''and'' the dramatic music that was playing) off right there.

** Cecil's response and tone are ''utterly exasperated'', as though even ''[[SeenItAll he]]'' couldn't believe the ridiculous crap he just heard.
