** One, Hollywood (the general portrayal anyway) demands people to either lie their way through or work really hard to success. Top Cat as a BrilliantButLazy character with standards can't work hard, but he won't ruthlessly cheat/deceive either.
** Or more simply, they missed their home and came back.
