* Some players were left wondering why did Ori have to re-learn certain abilities they knew in previous game like Bash, etc...but if you look at the prologue cutscene of Ori and their family raising Ku, a little over a year (or even longer) passes where they live carefree, happy lives. It is possible that, due to land of Nibel becoming more peaceful, Ori simply had no need for their abilities and forgot how to use them. It wasn't until they got to Niwen and encountered various ancestral trees that jogged their memories so they restored some of their old abilities along with learning new ones.
