* During the entire episode, Dewey is terrified to find out that his mother was bad, stole the spear, and betrayed her family. While everyone reassures him that his mother is indeed a good person, that was more or less what happened; Della would go behind everyone's backs and took the Spear, which would lead to all of the misery of the Mcduck-Duck family for the next decade.

**Or that Storkules is purposely flubbing his performance in order to make sure that Donald and his kin win. Throughout, he's not a mindless servant of his father until forced to be and he seems to view the entire thing as ridiculous throughout.

* The siren looks completely indisguishable from a normal girl for this world until she unleashes her MagicMusic or speaks ([[VocalDissonance at which point she sounds like an old lady]]). Given how sirens are indeed described as being [[OlderThanTheyLook immortal]] bird-women, this makes perfect sense.

* The HoYay between Storkules and Donald makes sense if you keep in mind that in ancient Greek society, certain forms of male-male romance (primarily those between a grown man and an adolescent boy) were socially acceptable.

* The episode ends with Dewey accidentally enraging Zeus again, the Duck family fleeing for his lives and finding that Launchpad took the entire plane, their only means to escape, apart to find what its problem was.

* Donald seems to have ridiculously good luck during the competition (for instance, during the discus throw Storkules's discus goes all the way around the world but still lands in front of Donald's), even though he's largely characterized by being unlucky; heck, his bad luck was ''a plot point'' in an earlier episode. But that's actually exactly right. Winning is the ''unlucky'' outcome, since it means invoking Zeus's wrath.

* "Someone always gets hurt!" Donald complains about adventuring. This doesn't bode well to explain what happened to Della.

!! Fridge Brilliance
* It seems odd that Donald would dislike Storkules, who is a NiceGuy all things considered. But then you consider that the last time Donald came to the island, [[TearJerker his sister was with him]]. Donald doesn't dislike Storkules personally, but the memories must be bitter now.
* Selene is a ReasonableAuthorityFigure who has no weapons or traps in her chamber. At best she has an orb that lets her recall memories of beloved ones. Selene wasn't a war goddess, while Zeus was a BloodKnight in Greek mythology and in here. She was best known for her lovers and children.
