** Paperinik mentioning the PIA explains why Donald was already good at a spy and had his immense ability with XanatosSpeedChess: Donald's work as a spy for his uncle gave him experience with both, especially considering his partners have been been Daisy with her formidable ability as an infiltrator and ''Fethry''.
** The PKNE stories start with Donald having retired from superheroics, something that should be just plain unthinkable for him. Him being also a member of the Agency ''and'' having already a saltuary "job" as a spy in Scrooge's own intelligence service explains it: already fed-up at [[DudeWheresMyRespect how little respect he got]], and with the crime finally down and no supervillain in sight, [[SecondSuperIdentity having to manage another super identity was just too much for him]], and retired the less useful that he could.

** When it's discovered [[spoiler:the Direction is decrypting Head-H's archive]] one can't help but wonder how, considering their incompetence. Then [[spoiler:it's shown Head-H has defected to them and it's clear why: he gave them the passwords]], and with those even ''they'' can decrypt them... Except they're so incompetent they're taking way too much time for it.

* From "Enemies as Usual":
** [[spoiler:Rockerduck]] being revealed as the mystery backer could seem out of nowhere... Except the PIA stories are in continuity, and there he has his own private intelligence service. He had clearly found out of the Agency through them-and, not being suicidally stupid, just sat on the information until he had to act on it to [[spoiler:preserve the Agency]].
** At the same time, [[spoiler:Rockerduck]] being the one who originally created Actinia makes sense due his role in the PIA stories, as he was usually a villain, if nowhere as bad as the Blonk organization.

** Also, we know that the series is in continuity with PKNA-and Grrodon is still at large. He may be among the responsible parties.

*** Why is Donald worried when Daisy grabs a gun, even when he's the only one to know she's a spy too? Because Daisy is specialized in disguising as someone and hanging around until the right moment to screw the villain over, and [[MasterOfDisguise as good as she is at it]] she's not experienced with guns.

* In one story, Donald makes use of two [[LatexPerfection plastic masks]] for a disguise, something nobody else does. In the same story he does so, he also [[SarcasticConfession admits being Paperinik (while making sure nobody will believe or remember it)]]... And Paperinik is an avid user of plastic masks: Donald already had one of the masks, and had Gyro make the other specifically for the mission. Or used a Paperinik gadget to make it himself.
* Paperinik is known for having the habit of [[LaserGuidedAmnesia wiping his secrets out of the memories of anyone who happens to find them out]]. Donald's SarcasticConfession to Daisy of being Paperinik wasn't just a confession of that secret he knew would be soon wiped out-he was telling her "Sorry, but the Agency won't let you remember this adventure". And Daisy may have or may not have caught on that before being subjected to the TRB.

* In one From "Agent Zero":
** Daisy proves herself a ScarilyCompetentTracker in this
story, and once she stops being jealous she shows a rarely seen competence as an adventurer and even willing to join the Agency. Seems out of nowhere... Then "Time Crime" mentions the PIA stories, where Daisy ''is'' a part-time secret agent herself (and has been at it for longer than Donald), working for Scrooge to defend his economic empire: while apparently retired and in an adventure far more dangerous than the ones she used to go, she still has what it takes to be a super spy herself.
*** Daisy takes Donald's disguise as Axel Alpha better than Kay does: being around in disguise and revealing themselves at the crucial moment is ''Daisy''[='=]s shtick in the PIA stories, and considering that [[StrangeMindsThinkAlike she often has the same crazy ideas as Donald]] she could understand him immediately.

** In the previous story "The Last Day" the villain group called "The Chosen Ones" tried to destroy human civilization with a global earthquake, a plan similar to Morgan Fairfax' original one, while one of the Chosen Ones was a general with a passing resemblance to [=McCoy=], the soldier that Grrodon replaced after coming to Earth. Considering that the story was published ''after'' "Might and Power", it's likely that Grrodon is once again trying to spread chaos to conquer the planet after his apparent death and has resumed using [=McCoy=]'s face and, possibly, identity.

* The situation at the start of "Reboot", namely [[spoiler:the Agency being replaced by the less expensive Direction]], seems completely out of nowhere... Except the previous story had Axel Alpha and John Konnery use the latter's time machine to capture the leaders of the Organization, the Division, and other criminal organizations, and deliver them to the Agency as a show of force. With the Agency's main enemies suddenly taken down, [[spoiler:it only makes sense that some of those in power decided to dispose of what now appeared to be just a money sink]].

** Why doesn't Double Duck!Donald remembers that adventure of Paperinik, that is in his past? He took a car-can ([[LaserGuidedAmnesia a memory-erasing candy]] invented by Gyro, that Paperinik still used during PKNA) to make sure everything would go as it's supposed to, or used Ducklair tech to the same effect.

* A few from the {{Crossover}} with ''ComicBook/PaperinikNewAdventures'':
** Kay notices that Donald and the time-displaced Paperinik are incredibly similar not just in terms of looks but also in character, and Donald uses the Extransformer with proficiency and blurts out he knows the Time Police's commander, but doesn't realize they're the same person. Either she too has fallen for Paperinik's usual explanations (they're friends, plus Donald sometimes acts as a substitute for Paperinik and Paperinik is a MasterOfDisguise) or [[SecretSecretKeeper has realized it but decided to keep the secret]] (she may have also realized that the Time Police droid that looks like Lyla Lay actually ''is'' Lyla Lay, but decided to keep the secret on that too. At the very least she agrees not to investigate it).
** The Lyla Kay interacts with comes from immediately after PKNA #39 but wears clothes in style with the 'contemporary' PKNE Lyla. Being a Time Cop Lyla just checked the fashions from that particular time period and choose clothes she liked, that, for obvious reasons, are identical to the ones PKNE!Lyla wears.
