* In season 7, Jerry slipped up when he revealed to Carl Rogers and Rogers' attorney that there was a witness to Franzen's rehearsed testimony video. In doing so, though, he actually ''saved'' Maddie's life. Fowkkes already had the video courtesy of the hitman stealing the burner laptop and thumbdrive from the safehouse, so he would've seen Maddie on the tape anyways. But if Jerry hadn't slipped up, it's possible there wouldn't be a police protection detail assigned to protect Maddie at the courthouse parking garage.

* In the first few episodes of season 6, following the murders of the dirty cops in Jerry Edgar's investigation, we see all officers in the department sporting the black band of mourning on their badges, as is normal when officers are killed in the line of duty...except for Bosch and Edgar. It's not a surprise Edgar isn't wearing a black band, as he's the one investigating Marcos and Arias for the death of his informant. But Bosch isn't wearing one either because he went off-the-books in season 2 to help Irving investigate the murder of his son at the hands of dirty cops. It's his way of conveying that he's not losing sleep because two dirty cops died, figuring they had it coming.
