* In the season 3 finale, Sally has just killed a man, and as Bill Hader has explained in a few interviews she has caught Barry's "disease" of killing people. Her first reaction is to get out of dodge and fly home to Joplin, Missouri. On the one hand, perhaps she's running to her hometown because there's nothing for her in LA. On the other hand, there is someone significant from her past who lives in Joplin, someone whom her biggest regret was that she never stood up to his abuse when they were married...

* An example supplied by Creator/StephenRoot himself. When asked what he thinks happened to Fuches after the finale, he responded that he believes Fuches would get right back into business; find another young man to manipulate and make him do the wetwork... except now he's going to be much more successful at it.

Remember that spoilers are unmarked in Fridge and Headscratchers!

* When Janice figured out [[spoiler:that Barry was the original killer in the blurry photo that the police department was looking for]], why did she try to [[spoiler:arrest Barry on the spot, then and there, at a remote cabin in the woods where the only other people around were Gene and Sally?]] Well, as later seasons show in spades (especially with the Hank/Fuches "Raven" business), cops in that police department don't seem to be very good at their jobs in general.

This seems to be too inconsistent to be fridge brilliance

* Fuches disdains Barry's acting aspirations, yet ironically Fuches himself delivers convincing acting performances by impersonating a Texan and a Latin American when Janice calls the box phones for Barry's alibi, and by impersonating Cousineau when calling the police.
** This is again subverted in Season 4 when Fuches [[spoiler:wears a wire while trying to act natural]].

* Mitch's advice for Barry was quite spot-on.

Hank actually follows through with his threats and tries to kill Barry, but he remains his normal chipper self.

* The Season 2 premiere showed a ''terrifying'' glimpse of Hank's dark side when he chillingly warns Barry to kill Esther or else he'll out him as Goran's killer. Considering that he's a remorseless criminal mobster who plans out tortures and murders despite that fact that he's not an inherently violent person, what is he like when he snaps and is pushed over the edge? Will it be similar to how Barry is like or will it be much worse?

A theory, not fridge brilliance

* In [[https://youtu.be/XWsMvAMoV6k?t=57 this interview]], Bill Hader mentions (possibly not entirely jokingly) that they tried to do "the George Lucas thing" by retrospectively changing Season 1 and 2 after their release. The most infamous retrospective rewrite by George Lucas is about [[AdaptationalSelfDefense who shot first]]. We might actually still get a "who shot first" reveal in ''Barry'': In the very end of Season 1, we see and hear four gunshots (appartenly the second one from a louder gun than the others), but later there are only two gunshots in a flashback. Just as an example: Maybe Barry took cover and fired in the air first to prove that he has a loaded gun and wants to negotiate.
