Frank Johnson (Ross Elliot) has just witnessed the murder of an informant and is told by the police that he must ID the man he saw commit the murder. Scared to be under witness protection and be hunted down by the gangster killer, Frank runs away. Detective Farris (Robert Keith) then turns to Frank’s wife, Eleanor (Sheridan), who’s rather bitter about the bad state of her marriage but begrudgingly helps the police.
She thinks he’s a loafer but searching all UsefulNotes/SanFrancisco with the help of newspaper reporter, Legget (O’Keefe), Eleanor finds more about her husband than she though possible.
