* ArtisticLicenseLawEnforcement: When the police officer responds to the 911 call and finds evidence that there really is criminal activity, he does not immediately get on his radio and call for backup. At the end, when Amy finally manages to get through to the police once more and gives her location, the dispatcher replies that an officer was already sent to that location. That officer had been killed ''hours'' ago, and for him to go that long with checking in or giving an update on the situation would have resulted in the dispatcher sending every available unit to that location to investigate.

* Gorn: Surpsingly averted for this specific genre. The movie doesn't even really have any gore at all until the last 20 minutes. And even then it's not that much.
