After Tommy fails to locate the buried money (having been given a vague clue about its location), he decides to follow the path of his father's former life in an effort to locate the money and save his father. In the process, he decides on accruing the money by robbing the bigots and thieves of the west, and encounters five half brothers sired by his father: the Mexican burro rider Ramon (Schneider), the cheerful cimplewitted Lil' Pete (Lautner), the feral mountain man Herm (Garcia), the alcoholic Danny (Wilson), and black saloon pianist Chico (Crews). Over their mutual journey, Tommy comes to realize that family is more than just blood.
