Back in TheEighties, one Wilson Wyler Concannon (Creator/WilliamSadler) directed a horror movie called ''The Hills Run Red'', which had a short run at the theaters before it was pulled for being too gory, and eventually became lost. Years later, a man named Tyler (Tad Hilgenbrink) intends to find the film, and make a documentary about it. He ventures into the movie's filming location together with his girlfriend Serina (Janet Montgomery), his best friend Lalo (Alex Wyndham) and Concannon's daughter Alexa (Sophie Monk), and discovers that someone is killing in the movie's name.

* MummiesAtTheDinnerTable: Eventually, Tyler finds himself bound and gagged to a wheelchair in a movie theatre filled with corpses as the audience, and has no choice but to watch ''The Hills Run Red'' on the screen on front of him.

** Subverted later when Serina tries to repeat the process to Babyface after he has her captured and bound. She gets through only few lines before realizing that she doesn't know the rest. [[spoiler:Then Babyface mocks her for it, indicating that it wouldn't have worked in the first place]].

* PlatonicProstitution: Tyler finds Concannon's daughter Alexa working as a stripper, and gets a private dance from her so he can talk to her alone about her father's movie, but because the room is being watched through the security camera, she has to keep dancing.

* VillainousRescue: The group is saved form the hillbillies menacing them by Babyface's arrival. Subverted [[spoiler: because the whole thing was arranged by Alexa in the first place.]]

* WrongGenreSavvy: One poor soon-to-be victim thinks he can scare of Babyface with a bunch of flares thinking he's just a dumb psycho serial killer. A pistol tells him otherwise.

* AnAxeToGrind: There's an axe among the various murder instruments that Babyface carries.
