An eco-thriller written by Zal Batmanglij and [[Film/AnotherEarth Brit Marling]], starring Brit Marling, [[Creator/AlexanderSkarsgard Alexander Skarsgard]], EllenPage and Shiloh Fernandez. Sarah Moss (Brit Marling) is an operative working for a private intelligence firm who is assigned to infiltrate an anarchist collective known for executing covert attacks upon major corporations. Living amongst them in an effort to get closer to their members, Sarah finds herself unexpectedly torn between two worlds as she starts to fall in love with the group’s charismatic unofficial leader.

* TheAtoner: The first jam is initiated by Doc, and consists of feeding pharmaceutical company McCabe it's own medicine. Doc prescribed this medicine as an anti-malaria to his sister while she was working in Kenya. She suffered brain damage so bad she killed herself. Then he used the medicine on himself and became plagued by seizures and other deteriorations in health.

* OnlyTheWorthyMayPass: As an entry test, Jane has to wear a straightjacket and eat without her hands. She attempts to eat like a dog, but then sees the others holding the spoon in their mouths for eachother, resulting in her first discovery of the selflessness of the East.

* TheWoobie: Eve, who is forced to leave the cult because of Sarah/Jane, does so in tears.
** Doc, who accidentally caused his sister's death and sacrifiiced his own health in finding out why and getting revenge.

* GreenEyedMonster: Izzy.

* CuteAndPsycho: Izzy, to the point of wrecking the East's plan by publicly jabbing someone.
** Actually, it is implied that Izzy's actions were all part of the plan. [[spoiler: It isn't until the actual confrontation at the lake that we truly see just how serious Izzy is about her views and morals.]]

* OnlyTheWorthyMayPass: Izzy is reluctant to let Sarah into their group, until she has her wear a straightjacket and eat off her plate like a dog.
