''10 Things I Hate About You'' is a 1999 HighSchool film which was, essentially, a sort of murky, updated HighSchoolAU-style [[TheBardOnBoard take on]] ''Theatre/TheTamingOfTheShrew''. The plot is fairly standard for a romantic comedy, and runs as such:

Despite being a teen romcom, ''10 Things'' received some good reviews for acting, writing and general amusement value (especially if you're familiar with the Shakespeare). It's still fondly remembered years later because of that. Most notably, it put its two leads on the map as dramatic actors to watch in the future.
