* RunningGag: Every time a main character gets a note from the killer, it read "I know what you did last (insert event)". The thing is, every flashback, regardless of the date, has them coming back from a sausage festival and accidentally hitting a plastic deer with their car. They then toss it into the sea and agree to never speak about again. In Dawson's flashback, [[spoiler:he's the one they hit, dressed like a deer, and the other four toss him into the sea]].
