The only aquatic animals that partially beach themselves in pursuit of prey are air-breathing ones such as the orca. Large sharks not only do not do that, they also avoid shallow waters so they would not likely even attack the creatures wading by the shore.

* RealityIsUnrealistic: While the opening scene in the prehistoric past where the Megalodon leaps out of the water to grab a ''Tyrannosaurus rex'' may seem like an example of pure Hollywood spectacle inspired by the ''Mosasaurus'' killing the ''Indominus rex'' in ''Film/JurassicWorld'' with zero basis in the real world, however in reality this act of a large aquatic predator throwing itself onto land to grab its prey actually does occur in the natural world, ''Orcas'' (Killer Whales) will hunt in a very similar manner by deliberately [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=E1dg9pVQp3M beaching themselves in order to catch sea lions]].

Not seeing the connection here, also the greenland shark is not an ancient species of shark, thought to diverge from it's closest relatives during the Quaternary Period (less than 2.5 million years ago) so it has not survived any mass extintction events.

* CompositeCharacter: The new Megs are Megalodons just like in the first movie but the biggest having a vast age and patchy skin makes it vary similar to the Greenland sharks that are known to live over 500 years and have survived several extinction level events in the earth’s history.

They vary in weight considerably. A Blackhawk helicopter blade (just an example) weighs 250lbs. The one the character picks up is not a complete blade, either, part of it's broken off. Assuming it weighs about 200lbs, a strong man would have no trouble picking one up.

** A helicopter's rotors weigh ''over 500 lbs.'' There is no way Jason Statham, even with all his buffness and strength, could have possibly picked it up and maneuvered it so the [[spoiler: alpha Meg impales itself.]] The only way it would ever happen is if he was a trained bodybuilder.

** The Tyrannosaurus Rex seen in the opening sequence is a dead ringer for the T-Rexes from Franchise/JurassicPark, right down to the color scheme. The Megalodon breaching up behind it and dragging it down into the depths is a rather obvious riff on the Indominus' death scene in ''Film/JurassicWorld'' (although it was ultimately based on a scene from Steve Alten's original book, which predates ''Jurassic World''). There are other references to ''Jurassic Park'' as well, particularly the Snapper attack on Montes and his mercenaries being reminiscent of the raptors hunting Muldoon, and the treacherous human villain being EatenAlive in their getaway vehicle.
