* ImplausibleBoardingSkills: During the fight with a lot of Nazis, Kung Fury just pushes one on the ground and rides his body like a skateboard.

* GratuitousGerman: Well, Gratuitous Swedish in a German Accent with Some German mixed in.

* ArchEnemy: Kung Fury has UsefulNotes/AdolfHitler, the Kung Fuhrer, who slaughtered his police station and seeks to steal his powers.

* SignatureWeapon: [[Myth/NorseMythology Thor]] wields his iconic hammer. He even exclaims "it's hammer time" in his first scene.

Nearly two years later, Creator/MichaelFassbender and Creator/ArnoldSchwarzenegger were cast for the film. While filming on the sequel wrapped in 2019, it is, as of this writing, stuck in post-production, due to a lawsuit over one of the film's investors having failed to pay their part of the budget. In May 2021, a 2022 release date was announced. The release was then pushed further back, but was eventually confirmed to happen on November 17, 2023.

* GutturalGrowler: Kung Fury speaks in a comically husky voice.

''Kung Fury'' is an over-the-top action comedy ShortFilm written and directed by David Sandberg and funded by Website/{{Kickstarter}}. The movie features: arcade-robots, dinosaurs, Nazis, Vikings, Norse gods, mutants and a super kung-fu cop called Kung Fury, all wrapped up in an '80s style action packed adventure. The film was released for free on May 28, 2015 on Website/YouTube and UsefulNotes/{{Steam}}.

* HammerTime: Well, it's [[Myth/NorseMythology Thor]]. He even says it word for word in his first scene.

* SssssnakeTalk: Subverted and parodied with Cobra who has a [[SpeechImpediment lisp]].

* StylisticSuck: The fight between Kung Fury and the arcade deathbot skips scenes because of "bad VHS quality". Anyone who remembers VHS tapes will recognize that horrid static anywhere. Can also count towards the intentionally bland acting and occasionally blatant chroma key scenes.

* BareYourMidriff: Both Viking babes wear [[ChainmailBikini skimpy armor]] that shows some skin around the stomach, although Barbarianna's is mostly covered by her belt.

* ChainmailBikini: Everyone in the viking age wear {{Stripperiffic}} armor, including the Viking babes and [[WalkingShirtlessScene Thor]].

* CoolPet: The Vikings have a t-rex and a giant wolf.

* StockDinosaurs: The dinosaur species that appear in the movie are a ''Tyrannosaurus rex'', a ''Velociraptor'' (with laser eyes) and an anthropomorphic ''Triceratops'' policeman.

** Kung Fury and the Viking Babes ride a ''Tyrannosaurus rex''.
** Kung Fury's new partner is an anthropomorphic Triceratops named Triceracop.

* AwesomeMcCoolName: Pretty much everyone has one. Kung Fury, Barbarina, ''Katana'', even the somewhat silly named "Hackerman" is sort of cool...

** Kung Fury shoots the rampaging arcade machine from atop his Lamborghini. While it's flying through the air at high speed. From a distance of probably several hundred yards. With a ''pistol''. [[UpToEleven WITHOUT HITTING THE HOSTAGE]].

* SoBadItsGood: Deliberately {{invoked}}. The entire thing is a throwback to 1980s action movie cliches, all of them turned UpToEleven. Even the theme song gets in on this; "True Survivor" is nothing but Eighties-style lyrical cliches one after another, bordering on WordSaladLyrics.

* TheCavalryArrivesLate: Despite using time travel, reinforcements somehow arrive only after [[spoiler: Kung Führer has gunned down Kung Fury]].

** Triceracop just carries a pistol; [[spoiler: in the battle against Hitler's army he uses it to shoot Nazis in the dick and ''only'' the dick. Needless to say it's pretty effective.]]

* TheDitz: The man who's talking on a telephone [[spoiler: which Hitler will steal]] happily announces he has done a blood test and the result is positive. (This is probably a reference to AIDS.) The woman he's talking to isn't happy to hear it.

** After one fight, Kung Fury feels a cobra bite, and later it is revealed [[spoiler: his spirit animal is a cobra]].
* FunnyAnimal: [[spoiler: Cobra, Kung Fury's spirit animal.]]

** The [[{{Retraux}} '80s-style]] "landscapes" in drawn and computer-generated-looking [[spoiler: death and]] time travel scenes.
