* DVDBonusContent: The original DVD release had [[VanillaEdition none]], but the 2016 20th anniversary Blu-ray/DVD set includes an audio commentary with the director Michael Cooney, an interview with Scott [=MacDonald=] (Jack Frost), and an interview with director of photography Dean Lent.

* LethalChef: [[spoiler: It turns out Ryan [[TooDumbToLive put antifreeze in the oatmeal because he didn't want it to go cold]]. Fortunately Sam doesn't eat any before realizing it can be used against Jack.]]

* MonsterMisogyny: The female characters' deaths are a lot more more brutal than those of the male victims, including one getting raped to death.

* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: Tommy making a snow-woman with large breasts for a snowman contest, then his crush/girlfriend Jill walks up to flirt with him, and comments on the Snowman and its breasts, with Tommy quickly and abruptly saying that isn't supposed to be her.
* TearOffYourFace: Jack does this to Agent Manners by growing icile fangs and eating it.

* MoodWhiplash: Most of the movie is very campy (even more so then the previous film) but then near the end of the movie [[spoiler: you have a scene where Jack Frost is comforting his last remaining snowball baby who slowly dies that is actually sad to watch. Keep in mind just a few minutes before this, the characters had discovered that Jack and his babies weakness were bananas. After that scene the tone of the movie is fairly more serious.]]
* ResurrectedMurderer: While taking notorious murderer Jack Frost to be executed, the prison transport crashes into a truck containing DNA-altering chemicals. The chemicals melt Jack into nearby snow, but his consciousness moulds the snow into a snowman to go after the cop who arrested him.

* UnexplainedRecovery: In the first film, Agent Manners is presumably killed when Jack grows icicle-fangs and [[TearOffYourFace tears the agent's face off]]. Here, the agent is played by a different actor, and explains that his new face is the result of 15 different reconstruction operations. He also gets an EyepatchOfPower.
* WeaksauceWeakness: In the first film, Jack's weakness was quite logically antifreeze; in the here, Jack inherits Sam's allergy to bananas due to [[AppliedPhlebotinum some of his blood being mixed in after their last encounter]].

* BlackBraAndPanties: Jill is shown to be wearing some before getting in the back.

* WelcomeToTheCaribbeanMon: The sequel moves the titular killer snowman to The Bahamas. Must be one hell of a sunscreen.

* AbusiveParent: Hinted at with Jill and Billy's dad.
* AntagonistTitle: The protagonist is Sam.

* BloodFromTheMouth: [[spoiler: Jill, after being raped, indicating it was probably fatal.]]

''Jack Frost'' is a SlasherMovie duology about a serial killer (Creator/ScottMacDonald) who gets mutated into a snowman. Both films are campy direct-to-video efforts, but the first one is better known due to [[SimilarlyNamedWorks sharing its name]] with [[Film/JackFrost1998 a family film]] with a similar plot that came out a year later.

* AccidentalInnuendo: Invoked. The rape scene in the first film wasn't originally intended to be this; it was meant to just be Jack Frost smashing Jill into the wall until she died. But when the movie got into the editing phase, the editor told the director, "You know what this looks like, don't you?", due to the shot of the carrot floating to the surface of the water earlier in the scene, as well as Jack's carrot nose not being on his face during the scene. Rather than re-shoot the whole scene (which was difficult to achieve as it was), the director went with it, and quickly shot a few shots of Jack Frost making bad sex puns after Jill's death for continuity.

* ImMelting: Jack Frost, courtesy of a genetic liquid shower.

* BodyHorror: As a result of [[spoiler:getting splashed with [[WeaksauceWeakness antifreeze]], Jack's head partially melts, revealing beating human organs inside his snowman body]].

* {{Camp}}: It is a movie about a SerialKiller turned ''[[NinjaPirateZombieRobot mutant killer snowman]]'' who gets killed by antifreeze-laced oatmeal, and who kills people while making tons of snowman-related (and several not-remotely-snowman-related) puns.
