* RunawayGroom: Played with. Chandramouli abandons Gowri and takes an overnight flight to Punjab in Northern India. That said, it wasn’t an actual wedding - Chandramouli had hired Gowri to pretend to be his “bride” during a reception at an expensive hotel, just to get his parents to stop haranguing him to get married. However, said parents get miffed that they weren’t involved in the wedding ceremony and weren’t even invited to that reception. The dad fakes a story about the family being victimized by an insurgent attack, to emotionally manipulate Chandramouli into visiting them. He therefore has to call off the “reception” in order to take the next available flight to Punjab.
