Four years after his death in ''The Wolf Man'', Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.) is awakened from his slumber when two vagrants attempt to rob his grave. After instantly transforming into a WolfMan and killing one of the robbers, he finds himself in Cardiff, Wales.

There he finds the FrankensteinsMonster (Creator/BelaLugosi) trapped in a block of ice.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Originally it was supposed to be explained that Ygor's brain is in the monster's body and that he is nearly blind (if you look carefully at the scene where he and Talbot look for the doctor's notes, you can see the monster's lips move, as if he is attempting to speak). The monster's dialogue was cut from the film, so Ygor's treachery and the monster's strange gait are never explained.
