* NotSoHarmlessVillain: Christian Winters comes across as a hammy hack who is trying to be a menacing threat, but his less than invested wife combined with his lackluster attempts at seeming like an evil mastermind make him look more like a dork. * SpannerInTheWorks: The only reason why Rose was even involved, eventually leading to her thwarting Christian, is because his wife Claudia accidentally killed the virgin Christian already had when she tried waking her up to ask if she wanted anything.

Added DiffLines:

* WillingChanneler: One potential "Talent" is the ability to act as a vessel for ghosts. Back when they were ghost hunters, Rose's father Vincent acted as this while his daughter performed the exorcism. It is revealed that Martin also has this talent, acting as a channeler when they collect ectoplasm. By the end of the film, he becomes this full-time for their new OccultDetective agency.

Rose, a mostly sweet and lonely Irish driving instructor, must use her supernatural talents to save the daughter of Martin (also mostly sweet and lonely) from a washed-up rock star who is using her in a Satanic pact to reignite his fame.

Not to be confused with [[Webcomic/ExtraOrdinary the webcomic of the same name]].
----
!! ''Extra Ordinary'' provides examples of:
* BedsheetGhost: At the beginning, Rose briefly sees the townsfolk wearing bedsheets that evoke this. Later, the demon Astaroth manifests as a bedsheet ghost with out of the ceremonial sheets Christian had hung up.
* DealWithTheDevil: The ritual Christian has to enact involves him [[VirginSacrifice sacrificing a virgin woman]] (who will then be violently raped to death). In exchange, the infernal power of Hell will give him the power to revitalize his career.
* DraggedOffToHell: [[spoiler:When Martin manages to save Rose by having sex with her, there are no more virgins left for Christian to sacrifice, causing the portal to close after he gets dragged to Hell instead.]]
* IronicName: The guy named "Christian" is actually a Satanist.
* MyGreatestFailure: The reason why Rose abandoned the ghost-hunting business is because [[spoiler:she forgot part of an incantation, resulting in her father being possessed by both a haunted pothole and a dog (ItMakesSenseInContext), leading to her father getting run over by a bus.]]
* OneHitWonder[[invoked]]: Christian Winter is one of these, having become a success with the song "Cosmic Woman". His inability to make a new hit however is why he turned to HollywoodSatanism in the first place.
* PsychicPowers: There are certain people with "talents" when it comes to dealing with ghosts, including the ability to sense them, to be a WillingChanneler and to enact a HollywoodExorcism.
* TechnicalVirgin: [[spoiler:While it's revealed that Sarah actually isn't a virgin, it turns out that Rose ''is'', her only supposed sexual encounter not counting because it was "only the tip."]]
