Added DiffLines:

* AbandonedArea: The hospital has an entire wing that's completely empty, supposedly under renovations. Most of the movie's climax takes place there.
* AcceptableTargets: At one point, the protagonists ponder the idea of getting someone else to download the app so they can take a look at the EULA. Of course, siccing the demon on another victim is not something they want to do... until it turns out the grumpy old guy next to them at the bar is a ConspiracyTheorist, which makes it totally okay.

Added DiffLines:

* KarmaHoudini: Surprisingly, [[spoiler:Quinn herself gets ''zero'' consequences for her premeditated murder attempt using medical supplies. Even if Sullivan has a history of being a creep, that's grounds for at the very least getting barred from ever working in medicine again.]]

Added DiffLines:

* PostModernMagik: The entire film is about a demonic phone app. It's eventually revealed the demon used to do his job using parchment in ancient times and simply updated the medium in the modern era.
* SimpleSolutionWontWork: Halfway through the movie, the heroes simply get a guy to hack into the app's files and change a few numbers around. Of course, it can't possibly be that easy and the dates revert back a few hours later.

Added DiffLines:

* TheEndOrIsIt: The movie ends on [[spoiler:a notification that the Countdown app was updated.]]

* AssholeVictim: Doctor Sullivan attempted to force Quinn out of her job by claiming that she sexually harassed him when it was the other way around. Ultimately [[spoiler:Quinn fails to kill him to "beat" the app, but is able to expose him and encourage others to come forward]].

* MagicalDefibrillator: Having failed to [[spoiler:kill Doctor Sullivan to beat the app, Quinn instead deliberately overdoses herself after instructing her sister to inject her with Naxolone afterwards, beating the app]].

* {{Tagline}}: "If you could find out exactly when you're going to die... would you want to know?".

* YouCantFightFate: The app ensures that everyone who uses it will die at the time indicated on the countdown, even if they attempt to avoid their fate; the film opens with a girl choosing to walk home rather than get in a car with her drunk boyfriend, and ultimately she is attacked and killed by a supernatural force at the same moment as her boyfriend crashes his car.

* CurseEscapeClause: The titular app is eventually revealed to be a curse inflicted by a demon; anyone who downloads the app will die at the time indicated, and will suffer if they attempt to avoid their fate. A priest eventually determines that the entire app and everyone who used it will be defeated if they can prove the app "wrong", either by keeping someone alive beyond the time they were meant to die or killing someone before the app's predicted time of death.
