!Tropes for the film:
* CameBackWrong: A man named Miles Creighton is revived from cryonic preservation 10 years after being frozen due to having an incurable disease. With technology now advanced enough to resurrect people preserved this way. Miles is brought back to life, but has undergone an unpleasant change of personality, becoming cruel and sadistic, with the implication that he has lost his soul.
* CessationOfExistence: Miles is thawed out and revived when his cryonic containment unit fails. When a priest asks him what there is after death, he says, "Nothing. You die and there's just darkness." (It may or may not be true, Miles in the movie is an UnreliableExpositor since he CameBackWrong).
* HellishPupils: Due to having a soul no more, Miles displays these twice; first when he wakes up after being brought back from his cryogenic sleep, and when he dies for good in front of his mother in the ending.
* MonsterFromBeyondTheVeil: Miles Creighton, after being brought back from the dead.
* OneWordTitle: '''Chiller'''.
* TheSoulless: After being brought back from the dead that results in Miles [[CameBackWrong coming back wrong]], and starting engaging in evil behavior, including rape. A priest states that this is because he's technically "dead" and his soul is now gone.
