British tourist company Wundatours arrive, headed by Stuart Farquhar (Williams) and his assistant Moira Plunkett (Gail Grainger). Among the people on the trip are pub owners Vic and Cora Flange (James and Sims); Sadie Tomkins (Windsor), a young woman who catches Vic's eye when she stops by his pub, prompting Cora to decide to join them on holiday to keep an eye on Vic; Lily Dickey (Creator/SallyGeeson) and Marge Mace (Creator/CarolHawkins), two women hoping to find a holiday romance; married couple Stanley and Evelyn Blunt (Connor and Whitfield), the former of whom is hoping to get his wife to relax and re-develop an interest in sex; Rob Tweet (Creator/JohnClive) and Nicholas Phipps (Creator/DavidKernan) two men, Rob implied to be Nicholas' GayBestFriend; Eustace Tuttle (Hawtrey), an [[TheAlcoholic alcoholic]] MummysBoy; Bert Conway (Logan), a loud Scotsman hoping to find a one-night stand; and Brother Bernard (Bresslaw), Brother Martin (Creator/DerekFrancis) and several other monks looking for the tomb of Saint Cecilia.

Mr. Farquhar hopes that this will be his best holiday tour he has ever given, but his best laid plans fall to pieces as the holidaymakers have to endure unfinished rooms, terrible cooking, unrequited love, a trip to prison and eventually the destruction of the Palace Hotel as HilarityEnsues.
