In actuality, Kazakhstan was part of the Soviet Union during the Holocaust and had nothing to do with it. Probably done deliberately to further illustrate the depths of Borat's ignorance. * TranslationConvention: A variation: most of the time, Borat and Tutar speak to each other in "Kazakh" (itself rendered with Modern Hebrew). However, there are a few occasions where they speak English to each other, which can be jarring but is specifically so that [[RuleOfFunny real-world bystanders understand what they're saying and react appropriately]].

* IncestIsRelative: Kazakhstan continues to indulge in this, with Borat receiving a penis fax from the Prime Minister leading to an apology that "I was sexting my sister". Not to mention scenes to make bystanders think Borat and Tutar are in a relationship (see OneDialogueTwoConversations).

* ActuallyPrettyFunny: When Borat attempts to order flashlights via Alexa for his redneck friends in lockdown, his "accent" (read: Cohen intentional mispronunciation) ends up getting a package of fl''e''shlights. The rednecks think it's absolutely hysterical.
