The premise that fans have been begging the Nerd to review [[VideoGame/ETTheExtraterrestrial E.T.]] is maintained but the game itself is swapped with the generic "Eee Tee." The Nerd himself is also basically the same but details of his life are tweaked a bit just for the movie, such as giving him a day job and a sidekick. Likewise, the show accepts that the movie more or less happened the way we were shown, but ignores the "Eee Tee" angle in favor of pretending that it was the real game all along.
