Silver is most often seen with red eyes due to a noticeable error in the games (the intro shows him with red instead of GreyEyes), Ethan is sometimes drawn with gold eyes (as a throwback to his fanon name and the Gen 2 game), and the Kanto trio are drawn with eyes that are the same colors as their names.

* A good majority of FZero fans prefer to believe that ''Maximum Velocity'' never happened for one reason or another. ''GP Legend'' is no different... despite being a non-canon series to begin with. I'm not aware of PAON having any major Dis Continuity issues, but the only disputes over the ownership of Rare's DK characters are from clueless people. Diddy's been in Super Smash Bros. games and MARIO games, for Pete's sake!

** More germane to the topic may be the fact that there are ''still'' copyright disputes as to whether Nintendo or Rare holds the rights to Diddy Kong & Co.
