Parts 0-VI form a complete story, and Part VI was originally meant to be the ending of the series and ties off much of the story arcs with a fulfilling finale, so one could stop reading there without missing anything. [[SeriesFauxnale However]], Part VII was eventually written, and started a brand new story arc after a TimeSkip that ends on an incomplete cliffhanger, which will never be continued as Giegie stopped writing ''Metroid'' fanfiction shortly afterwards.

* ''Comments'': Has a unique premise - the fic begins many years before the first ''Metroid'' and stars Samus as a young teenager. Samus's portrayal is also notable - a combination of {{Adorkable}}, [[GenkiGirl passionate]], NoSocialSkills, and [[TraumaButton traumatic memories that can literally leave her curled up in a ball]]. Then there's also the fact that PowerCreepPowerSeep is ''not'' in play - standard Federation technology is orders of magnitude above anything on ''Worm''-Earth, and [[OutsideContextProblem Samus is orders of magnitude above that]]. This doesn't break the plot, partly because the story is about Samus trying to overcome her issues and learning to interact with other humans. It's also partly because ''something else'' is bringing things from the ''Metroid''-verse into ''Worm''-Earth, with shocking, horrifying and sometimes humorous results. As you can tell, MoodWhiplash and RealityEnsues are both in play. Most importantly, the story is a good read with engaging characters, interesting worldbuilding and an intriguing mystery.

* ''Comments'': While admittedly inspired by Hatchling Quest, Duodecimarch is firmly rooted in Krasnyy Spartak's fascinating takes on Metroid and the involved crossovers, where he demonstrates his mad genius for crossing over wildly different settings into a coherent and fascinating narrative. While so far in a pedal to the metal pace, what's been shown so far is tantalizing mystery and intrigue that spans many factions and many realities with two awkward but earnest teen heroes with a passion for helping those down on their luck with differing ways to cope with their separate but similar traumas. Samus is an eager, sometimes silly but determined and heroic young girl whose painful past drives her onwards to protect others even as the memories tear at her; Arne is also an orphan like her, but also an abuse victim trying to recover his sense of self-worth after his Alimbic foster parents tore much of it down. Making both a wide and diverse array of friends and battling a staggering array of enemies, it also promises a starker take on alien invasion and imperialism tropes as the two are caught in the affairs of great powers from many realities that the Earths being targeted will struggle to handle. Spartak's worldbuilding, characterization, engaging mystery and conflict, and sheer sense of fun are impeccable, and while he writes a lot, the pacing with which he writes never feels dragging despite the nominal length of the posts. High-octane action that gives you a feel for the enormous power of the characters involved is tightly used, with a great sense of how to use characters of differing powers and power levels while keeping them relevant.

* ''Synopsis'': A spin off of Spartak's fanfic Saga, this Quest features Samus Aran and Arne Skjoldr (destined to become Sylux in the main canon of ''[[https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/saga-metroid.59138/ Saga]]'') being dropped off onto Earth-Bet of Worm after taking out a wormhole station being fought over by the Space Pirates and the R.A.I.D. They find that they're hardly the only extradimensional visitors there though, as the Transformers have been fighting their war in secret there for a long time, and the dimensions of the multiverse of City of Heroes are already heavily involved in behind the scenes meddling. Whatever is bringing these and possibly other realities together can only have something to do with the Coming Storm, something that may threaten the survival of humanity and other species in this expansive multicross. Can the two save at least two earths from the designs of many conquerors? Why are these dimensions being brought together? And can two young, traumatised teenagers find themselves in this clash of realities?

Having just wrapped up the initial set of events with the first story Genesis; the Saga promises a metroid epic from start to finish as well as a host of fun and memorable characters.
