It gives an interesting look in Dominic's mind, particularly in light of his determination to fulfill his tasks to God and Judgement and to oppose Hell even when he truly does not believe that the universe can be saved. The OC Sophiate, a redeemed former Media servitor and one of the small number of new angels, is also quite well-written, and gives an excellent portrayal of a freshly-redeemed angel whose delight with her new nature and devotion to her role persists even against the terrible odds that Heaven faces.
