* Comments: This fanfic is only a fanfic in the sense that it drops a bunch of original characters into the universe of District 9 to play around in. And to this effect, there are characters from both aliens and humans that make up the cast of this fic. What could have been a terrible Sue-fic, however, is instead a fiction that has engaging, interesting, and very likeable characters behaving like real people. This is quite a feat considering that the decently sized cast consists of only one canon character at the current time. As well, the quality of the writing is such that it could be published fiction. As of the time of this writing, not a whole lot has gone on plot wise, but I would keep an eye on it as she can take it anywhere at this point in time...

* Comments: This fic, while short, is incredibly well-written and reads like it could have been a scene from the movie. Offers a little insight into the thought processes of Wikus and Christopher.

* Comments: A WIP on it's tenth chapter, this story takes information from the [[AllThereInTheManual various viral sites]] and expands on the world of D9, the society of the prawns, and the ramifications of a long-term relationship between outsiders on the verge of capture, in a raw and vivid manner. And yes, it has very explicite sex between Wikus and Christopher; very well-written scenes, at that, emotional and vulnerable. Easily the most well-written D9 fic out there.

* Comments: I wouldn't be surprised if Neill Blomkamp himself wrote this little piece. It balances the dark, ironic style of humour the film itself has with a believable history seemingly taken straight from the KnowYourMeme of an alternate universe. Definitely worth a few minutes.
