After Flash wins, Twilight congragulates him and pulls him forward into a kiss, which he quickly returns, while also telling him its up to him and his team to beat the Dominators in the finals]]. * MythologyGag: In chapter 21 [[spoiler:the scene where Vail Pixie tries to stop Flash from playing the Darkness Zenith Dragon is very similar to when Yugi tried to stop Atem from playing the Seal of Orichalcos in the anime. In both of them, Vail and Yugi grab on to Flash and Atem's arms to try to stop them, while begging them not to use the card, with both duelists ignoring their pleas and using the "evil cards", essentially betraying their friends, in a desperate attempt to win in a MomentOfWeakness. Also, both of these instances backfire for the duelists win they lose the duel anyway and both pay a high price for it.]]

* EarnYOurHappyEnding: After ''everything'' everyone went through against Zeronull and his forces, the heroes are able to live their lives after the fight is over, living in a time of peace and working towards their dreams. Harmonica even tells Flash that his time as the protector of the world is over.

* EvilHasABadSenseofHumor: [[spoiler:After discarding the last Zenith Dragon and ensuring Zeronull's instant win condition, Midnight Sparkle remarks that Zeronull has finally reached his "zenith", chuckling as she does so.]]

* TokenGoodTeammate: Downplayed; Amphitrite, the Atlantean Queen, the Zealot Dominating Queen Novo, still seeks to destroy the human world and the Duel Spirit world. However, unlike the other Zealots, who are only in this plan to save their own lives, Amphitrite joined them with the purpose of creating a peaceful life for her subjects and truly cares about their happiness. She also appears more genuinely AffablyEvil, showing [[VillainRespect legitimate respect for her opponents]], as opposed to the other Zealots' FauxAffablyEvil. This makes her appear slightly more sympathetic by comparison.

* DoubleStandardAbuseFemaleOnMale: PlayedForLaughs with Twilight and Flash. After Twilight learns that Flash [[spoiler:kept what he knew about the Dominators a secret since the end of the first round]], she angrily [[EarAche drags him by his ear]] before tossing him off the peer into the sea in front of everyone. Cadance just sighs happily at this, calling it "young love".

* CessationofExistence: [[spoiler:Zeronull's ultimate plan; it sought to create a Shadow Gate big enough for a planet to fit through, then set the gate in the revolutionary path of both the Earth and the Spirit World. This way, when the two worlds collide, they'll rip each other apart, and the pieces will be sucked into the Void between the worlds, where nothing can survive.]]

* EvilHasABadSenseofHumor: [[spoiler:After discarding the last Zenith Dragon and ensuring Zeronull's instant win condition, she remarks that Zeronull has finally reached his "zenith", chuckling as she does so.]]

* HopeCrusher: Gaia-Maiden Lady Marble outright admits to being one of these. She nullifies Spike's winning attack against her and laughs at the crestfallen expression on his face, saying how she loves watching people's spirits break before her eyes. She even goes as far as to express anger at Pinkie and Maud for [[EntitledBastard "denying" her that feeling.]]

* TheSociopath: The Omega Zealots check a LOT of boxes. They have a LackOfEmpathy for others, be they humans or other duel spirits, willing to harm and use them as tools however they see fit to get what they want. Not only that, they go above and beyond in their efforts just so they can [[{{Sadist}} hurt them in the cruelest way possible]]. They also constantly [[FauxAffablyEvil put up a polite front and speak in a conversational tone with everyone]], even when talking about how they're going to destroy the world. And deep down, despite all their rhetoric, all they really care about is that once they've completed their work, [[ItsAllAboutMe they'll all get to "live" happy lives in their master's dream world]], everyone else be damned.
