''Warriors Redux'' attempts to revise the first arc of the series as being more believable, while also greatly expanding on and editing the lore to be more believable. Although Firepaw's path remains largely the same as the first arc, the steps he takes to get there wildly vary.

The story has currently adapted the first two books: ''Into the Wild'' and ''Forest of Secrets''. ''Rising Storm'' is a work-in-progress.

* AllGenesAreCoDominant: This has been treated with the contempt it deserves, and all genetically-impossible appearances have been changed.

** Spottedleaf is more "out there" than her level-headed canon portrayal, keeping with the odd nature of {{seer}}s.

* OverlySpecificAfterlife: The four Clans believe that good Clan cats enter a HiveMind afterlife upon death, while bad Clan cats [[CessationOfExistence stop existing]]. When the [[APetIntoTheWild kittypet-born]] Firepaw asks the {{seer}} Spottedleaf if non-Clan cats can enter [=StarClan=], she treats it as a stupid question--of ''course'' they don't. [=StarClan=] is Clan heaven, not cat heaven, so only Clan cats are allowed.

* EvilAlbino:
** All-white cats in the myths tend to be evil, though this is averted with the actual white characters.
** When he appears, though, Scourge is planned to be an albino now (actually, as opposed to just a white cat) rather than the stereotypically "evil-looking" black cat with ice-blue eyes.

** Played relatively straight with Rowena (the replacement for Shadowstar), as she's actually one of the nicest founders of the Clans.

* AdaptationDyeJob: Many cat's descriptions have been changed to be more in-line with genetics.

* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler: [[AvertedTrope Averted so hard]]. The punishment system for the Redux has been explained in massive detail, and we get to see demonstrations of it happen, regardless of anyone's intentions. But the most notable aversion is for Tigerclaw; in canon, after his crimes came to light, Tigerclaw was exiled from [=ThunderClan=], and later became [=ShadowClan=]'s leader. Here, he is given the worst of punishments, which is execution and ''having his name erased from the Clans' memory'', which essentially denies him entrance into [=StarClan=], and is supposed to lead to CessationOfExistence once he has been completely forgotten from the Clans' memory.]]

There is quite a broken base over whether this was a good thing.

Warriors Redux (http://warriorsredux.tumblr.com) is a DeconstructionFic/FixFic dedicated to the revision of the [[Literature/{{Warriors}} Warriors]] series. It attempts to revise the first arc of the series as being more believable while greatly expanding on and editing the lore to also be more believable. Although Firepaw's path remains largely the same as the first arc, the steps he takes to get there wildly vary.

* ActionGirl: As in canon, almost every female cat is just as competent as their male counterparts.

* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Many cat's descriptions have been changed to be more in-line with genetics.
** Played relatively straight with Buzzardface (the replacement for Barkface), as in the allegiances he's outright stated to be handsome (due to the "face" suffix representing beauty).
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: Several cats from outside [=ThunderClan=] are met at the Gathering, some even books before their original introduction.

* AdaptationalIntelligence: Raventhroat figures out Tigerclaw's plans by deduction rather than by witnessing his murder of Redtail. [=ThunderClan=] in general acts much smarter around Tigerclaw, with Bluestar not immediately dismissing the allegations on him but still being cautious about blaming a loyal warrior based on circumstantial evidence (and she looks especially smarter without there being any witnesses of Tigerclaw's crimes).

* AdaptationNameChange:

* AdaptationDyeJob: Justified in every instance, as every coat color change is done for the sake of genetic plausibility.
* AdaptationPersonalityChange: Justified with Greypaw, as he was formerly just played for comic relief and dramatic subplots, whereas now he's a much more well-rounded and fleshed-out character.

* AesopAmnesia: Shouldn't be as big of a deal as it was in the original, since the Clans are so culturally separate now that any attempts at unification would be treated like wanting to unify, say, Switzerland, Canada, Argentina, and Japan: It's just not going to happen.
** It should be noted that this was a problem in the original because, for the first arc, it was constantly mentioned by Clanners that the reason Clans shouldn't get together was because they were separate... despite the fact that all of the Clan's individual cultures were exactly the same and that many of the background characters themselves were basically interchangeable personality-wise.

* AscendedExtra: Where Spottedleaf had not had much action before her [[spoiler:death]] in the original, she is given more prominence and an expanded role in the Redux.

* AwesomeMcCoolName: Some of the changed names fit this category.

* CallBack: There is a CallBack to the original book when Greypaw jokingly suggests renaming Murkpelt as Yellowfang.

* CatStereotype: WordOfGod has made statements on a few of these.

* DeliberateValuesDissonance: Renaming cats based on injuries would probably seem cruel to a human, though for the cats it is a compliment that represents how tough you must have been to survive such an injury.

* MaybeMagicMaybeMundane: Unlike in the original series, where [=StarClan=] was indisputably real, in the Reduxverse it's left up to the reader to decide, as evidence is given for both sides of the argument.

* UpToEleven: With the worldbuilding, my god. ''So much work'' has been put into amending the faults of the original, revising the history, giving Clans more interesting backgrounds and personalities.
* WorldBuilding: Taken UpToEleven.

* KnightTemplar / HeWhoFightsMonsters / WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler: [[BigBad Tigerclaw]] has become this in the Redux. Whereas in canon he was an ordinary evil and diabolical villain, the Redux makes it clear that he is someone who genuinely loves [=ThunderClan=], but he is willing to go to extreme lengths to protect it and lead it to what he thinks is greatness, rather than just wanting power.
