* PaperThinDisguise: [[JustForPun Konan]] doesn’t bother with a disguise at all, she just waltzes into an international conference on the subject of opposing the Akatsuki using her real name and face. Because no one except Aiko knows that she’s one of Akatsuki’s founding members as well as a leader of Rain, it works perfectly.

** Also, even if a memory-wipe jutsu made him forget the details, [[spoiler: Minato’s]] subconscious reaction to the idea that [[spoiler: future!Kakashi]] [[PapaWolf is sleeping with his daughter]] is to [[JailBaitWait ask them to wait until she turns seventeen]].

* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Aiko can use her chakra chains for this, but usually prefers [[WhipItGood blunt force trauma]]. Later, by way of apology for his HeelRealization, Kakashi develops and teaches her a water-release version of his chidori.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: While this plays a part in selecting a Kage, the Fourth Raikage is used as an example of why using this as the only requirement can end badly.

* IllGirl: Academy student Fukiko was this until Sasuke cures her rare blood disease.

* FieryRedhead: Not so much Aiko, but the Mizukage turns it UpToEleven when angry, as for a [[MagmaMan lava user]] “boiling rage” can be quite literal.

** The rest of the cast sees the full extent of Aiko’s intelligence as this, as they didn’t even [[UpToEleven realize that they didn’t know how smart she was]] until Tsunade and Inoichi put their heads together about it.

* RantInducingSlight: No Kakashi, Aiko really does not want to learn the rasengan, does not care that it should be her legacy, and is sick and tired of everyone looking at her and seeing the two dead people she’s never met or cared about.

* StoryBreakerPower: The Hiraishin is this in-universe. Tsunade describes the technique as “internationally reviled,” and when we see what [[spoiler:Aiko Uzumaki]] does with it, it makes sense why.

* CryForTheDevil: In spite of her hatred of the man, Aiko finds herself feeling a moment of pity for Danzo when he is crying [[spoiler:at her (faked) demonstration of loyalty to him and Root on his deathbed]].

* GameBreaker: The Hiraishin is this in-universe. Tsunade describes the technique as “internationally reviled,” and when we see what [[spoiler:Aiko Uzumaki]] does with it, it makes sense why.

* ActionGirl: All of the kunoichi.

* AdultFear:
** Your sister/student/friend is drugged and kidnapped from the hospital by a terrorist known for vivisecting people and [[spoiler:turning them into puppets]].
** Realizing the teacher you love and respect is suffering from clinical depression and [[spoiler:going senile]].

** Emphasizing Sasuke and Naruto’s potential HoYay and FoeYay is the fact that Karin and Hinata—the girls who were their most fervent suitors in canon—are mostly uninterested in the boys because they appear to be dating each other.

* HeroicRROD: Ordinarily Aiko can use Hiraishin as easily as breathing. Using it when [[spoiler:she has an aneurism]] leaves her nearly dead and comatose for two days.

* RealityEnsues: Aiko’s run-in with Sasori leaves her badly traumatized; later, trying to keep up with her regular missions, ANBU missions, and her work in [[spoiler: Root as TheMole]] leaves her exhausted and on the verge of breakdown.

* DidntSeeThatComing: Although she quickly realizes that Aiko must be planning something, Tsunade did not expect [[ReverseMole Sai]] to walk into her office and announce his desire to defect from and sell out Root.

* ReverseMole: Tsunade has Aiko serve as her Mole in Root by pretending to be Danzo’s mole in her camp, and Aiko later [[HeelFaceTurn convinces Sai to also turn double-agent]] against Danzo.
