* AntiClimaxBoss: The Tyrant is repeatedly built up as a major threat, appearing at the beginning of each chapter to march toward Ponyville--only to die extremely quickly in an explosion.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: Right before Twillight goes to defeat Celesia, a door opens and she's suddenly faced with every villain from the show, including those who haven't shown up in the story at all, such as Discord and the Smooze. She kills them in a single sentence, and they're never mentioned again.

* RomanticPlotTumor: Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack all become lesbians and declare their love for each other, which has no bearing on the story whatsoever. It gets even weirder when [[spoiler: the Slenderman]] briefly shows up and becomes Dash's new lover, only to die and her to completely get over [[spoiler: him]] in a few seconds.
