Marrinette is convinced she can pull it off; everyone else, not so much.

* PersonOfMassDestruction: A fully-trained wielder of the Black Cat Miraculous would be one of these; Diomedes (yes, ''[[Literature/TheIliad that]]'' Diomedes) killed enough people in his day to populate an entire ''city'' in the underworld, and fought two greek gods one-on-one.

** Making Chat into a HeroWithBadPublicity has consequences Marinette failed to predict, like causing the owner's of an animal shelter he supported to fall under suspicion of aiding and abetting him.

* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Paris at large is unaware that Ladybug has defected to Hawk Moth's side.

* SlowlySlippingIntoEvil: Ladybug commits more and more morally questionably actions in her quest to get Hawk Moth's wish so she can retire without endangering Adrien's livelihood.
