* SayingTooMuch: When talking to Beck about Jade's situation, Tori contemplates going to her father to ask him to look up information regarding Lily's arrest. Beck's attempt to dissuade her from this is poorly worded and tips Tori off to the fact that [[spoiler: he was directly involved in said arrest]].

* ComplainingAboutRescuesTheyDontLike: Jade's part of the fight that leads to her and Beck breaking up amounts to this - she disapproves of his decision to call the police on Lily, feeling that she could've handled it and that he robbed her of personal agency by doing so. Notably, she responds more positively to Tori's less intrusive approach to offering her support, and a later conversation between her and Beck ends with him encouraging Tori to keep with that approach, lending credence to Jade's point.

** She has another in chapter five, in response to Lily's use of a once-AffectionateNickname. This one leaves Jade vomiting over Tori's toilet minutes later.

* RevealingCoverUp: When talking to Beck about Jade's situation, Tori contemplates going to her father to ask him to look up information regarding Lily's arrest. It ends up being moot anyway - [[spoiler: more than a week later, all he could find was a handful of callouts to the West residence from before Jade's birth, none of which resulted in police reports of any substance]].

''Things Jade Hates'' is a dark ''Series/{{Victorious}}'' by [=Angel_of_the_Starz=]. It revolves around Jade and her relationship with her family.

* DomesticAbuse: Jade thinks that her father allowed her to be abused by ignoring it. The possibility is also brought up that David was abused by his wife into keeping quiet.

** Jade has a PTSD-induced flashback showing her failing to recognize abusive behavior by Lily because it wasn't physically painful and was framed as a bonding activity between the two.
