* AdultFear: Link is kidnapped from his own crib in the middle of the night and Sir Raven and his wife never see him again.

* LighterAndSofter: Compared to Mother Gothel and Rapunzel's relationship in ''Disney/{{Tangled}}'', Ganondorf and Link have a much better relationship as Ganondorf is not emotionally nor psychologically abusive and raises him in the small rural village of Lake Hylia, opposed to locking him up by himself in a tower.

* AngerBornOfWorry: Mr.Dragmire is ''pissed'' when Link attempts to cross the Gerudo Desert alone and left Lake Hylia when he expressly forbade him from leaving.

* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: Ganondorf decides to raise Link as his son after realizing that killing him would only let Link be reborn and as the Link's father he can steer Link's educations and his interests so the child won't have the skills necessary to rise against him even if Link does turn against him. As a result, Link doesn't have a lot of skill in handling weaponry since Ganondorf didn't permit him to learn it and he would understandably would hesitate to fight him if he knew the truth.

* {{Glamour}}: Mr.Dragmire puts a glamour on Link to disguise him when he allows Link to come with him to Castle Town, telling Link that it's for Link's protection. The glamour disguises Link to look like a young version of himself so he could better pass as Mr.Dragmire's son.

* GlamourFailure: Only for the spell to take him at his ExactWords and make Link look like a young Ganondorf, instead of young Siegfried Dragmire. Mr.Dragmire passes it off as the spell malfunctioning.

* ChristmasEpisode: One of the Missing Links deal with Link, Mr.Dragmire and the Twinrova giving gifts on an early Christmas morning.

* ForWantOfANail: In this story Twilight Princess Link left the Master Sword in Ganondorf's corpse, which allowed him to survive at cost of being comatose for fifty years and making his WoundThatWillNotHeal even ''worse''

** Link is raised as a normal child in an isolated village. So the villagers don't bat an eye when Mr.Dragmire forbids Link from leaving a village because they don't like the outside world either. Since Mr.Dragmire raised Link, he guided what would become Link's strengths and weaknesses.

** Link wakes up seven years after being seperated from Mr.Dragmire.

* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: In his attempts to Link different from his precessors, Ganondorf refuses to have Link learn swordsmanship and teaches him magic instead. He prevents Link from the pursuits his precessors were skilled in, such as archery and slingshots. Ganondorf tells Link a biased version of past events to put himself in the best light. He also forbids Link from wearing the color green.

* AccidentalTruth: After Fyrus tells Link the story of the Hero of Twilight, Link eager retells the story to Mr.Dragmire and asks him if ''he'' was named after the Hero. Link then wonders if it will mean that he'll become the next hero.

After weighing his options, Ganondorf decides not to kill the infant, reasoning since the boy was born immediately after the previous Link died that a new one would simply be reborn. To neutralize he kidnaps Link from his parents and raises him as his own son, believing that any child would hesitate to fight against their parent. Under a disguise and the name Siegfried Dragmire, he raises Link at Lake Hylia with no knowledge of the outside world.

* {{Reincarnation}}: Stated flat out in story that Link is the reincarnation of Twilight Princess Link since he was born a day after the latter's death.
