* IdiotBall: After [[spoiler: being freed from the ape's mind control, Zach is being made with suspicion by the Guardians and is blocked from getting ot Cynder, who is injured and need his powers to heal. Instead of using the evidence and circumstances to explain that he was mind-controlled and convince the guardians to let him help, he instead makes a vague token attempt to ask if they would ever believe him( which they don't), then spends part of the chapter trying to avoid getting attacked by them as he tries to get to Cynder. He even deduced that the apes did something to him but made no attempt to explain that whatsoever, despite telling hte guardians that likely being able to defuse the whole situation.]]
** The Guardians as well. Its makes sense the guardians would been a bit skeptical of Zach after he [[spoiler: attacked Spyro and injured Cynder. However, the circumstances were that he had helped Spyro save her at first, only to be trapped in an area with the apes while escaping. Logically, they would know the apes can experiment on dragons and people do not just do a complete turnaround in their personalities like Zach seemed to after helping them, and even after being freed they do not find it odd at all that Zach is no longer acting homicidal like before. Bonus points in that they knew Cynder was once brainwashed by the apes, so they should have figured out something was off about Zach.]]

* SadisticChoice: Crosses over with *TheReveal. [[spoiler: When he finally talks to the ancestors, Zach is told, in short, that he was pulled over by to the dragon realms after Spyro rebuilding the world in DOTD briefly altered reality. The individual serving as the 'bridge'( a sort of cosmic anchor point to keep the reality in check in a dimension) was pulled over along with Zach, though they do not mention who this is. Zach is told that to get home, he most kill one of the 'bridges'. The bridge in the dragon realms is Cynder, while the other individual is not named by the ancestors as they are blocked by the universe from having that knowledge; Zach must kill one if he is even to get home. Worse yet, even if Zach refuses to kill one of the 'bridge' individuals, the dragon realms and his home dimensions will fall out of balance and eventually destroy themselves, leaving no option to simply do nothing and stay in the dragon realms. ]]
* TheReveal: Why Zach is brought to the dragon realms is finally revealed in chapter 19 and elaborated more in the following chapter. [[spoiler: In a nutshell: Spyro rebuilding the world at the end of Dawn of the Dragon briefly messed with reality and brought the 'bridge' individual from Zach's realm over to the dragon realms, along with Zach by accident. A 'bridge' is an individual who is pretty much a comic keystone whose presence ensures reality stays stable. Worse yet only very powerful individuals can be a 'bridge' and Cynder was picked since she was at the core of the world at the time Spyro remade the world and purple dragons cannot be 'bridges'. Additionally, since the 'bridge' of the human realm was brought to the dragon realms, the dimensions are out of alignment and one 'bridge' must be killed for Zach to get home and cannot simply be sent back since bringing one over required Spyro screwing with reality and it cannot be replicated by the ancestors. If he does not kill one of the bridges, the realms will likely be destroyed due to an imbalance of reality. ]]
