Not only does Sunset thinks she looks amazing in a tux, but she overhears a few positive murmurs about her looks at the reception. Twilight even grumbles how "it's not fair" that Sunset can pull off both a dress and a tuxedo with equal attractiveness.

** "The Longest Day" features another clash between the Spectacular Seven and the antagonists. Sunset, Twilight, Rainbow and Fluttershy fight the BigBad; Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, Shining Armor and Cadance fight against the CoDragons.

The fact that the main romance plot is between three women (Twilight, Sunset, and Moondancer) is touched upon briefly a few times, but it's never treated as any less valid than a heterosexual relationship by anyone, including the villains. The only time anyone speaks negatively of two women dating each other is a single line from officer Harshwhinny, and there's only some mild irritation about it at that.

** Twilight isn't sure whether her attraction to Sunset is teenage hormones or genuine love. All Cadance can tell her is that there will be a EurekaMoment where Twilight will know for sure. Ultimately, there is no such Eureka Moment for Twilight, but she does come around and admit that she loves Sunset.

** Occurs at the end of Volume III with the perpetrators of "The Longest Day". Although the dark benefactor and the Dragon get away, even with some of their accomplaces pulling a HeelFaceTurn, Shining Armor (in his duty as a police officer) still has to arrest them. He does say he'll charge them as accessories instead of as perpetrators for [[spoiler:saving him and Cadance from the cave in which she was trapped]], but they're still going to jail.
