* IncorruptiblePurePureness: Sora and Nene are both bastions of hope for their respective teams, and the former for practically the entire world - a position that they thrive in due to their boundless optimism and unbreakable willpower.

** In August of 2022, it was announced that the upcoming ''VideoGame/SonicFrontiers'' would have a (currently) Japan-exclusive DLC pack themed around Korone, complete with: A replacement set of sound-effects made from her voice, swapping out NPCs for the Koronesuki (representative creatures of her fanbase) and even a new outfit for Sonic themed after Korone's own clothes. The trope edges further and further towards being averted.

** ''Plasmagic Seasons!!'' has it's [[spoiler: bad ending, an alternative scenario in which Blaze refuses to give back the power of the seasons she gained across her adventure yet still wishes to have her original pyrokinesis restored. After [[BroadStrokes skipping over the implied events of ''Resistance'']] for spoiler reasons, we see Blaze return home and a montage depicts her gaining incredible power thanks to her pyrokinesis, season powers and the power of the Sol Emeralds. Unfortunately due to the nature of the Sol Emeralds requiring a proper Guardian to keep them in check lest they cause worldwide natural disasters, Blaze's newfound power has the effect of making the maintenance of her planet much more stressful than before on account of her mind and body now being a tricky balancing act to control properly. Sure, now she can control the weather and natural forces of her whole world actively rather than just preventing them from falling into disaster, but [[WellIntentionedExtremist control is an addictive thing...]] One which Fauna, the AnthropomorphicPersonification of Nature is in opposition of. After failing to convince Blaze to return the power of the seasons as it does not belong to her, the two fight and Blaze wins thanks to Fauna losing much of her power due to being in a world that is not her own, only able to draw a small bit from the wormhole she was sent through. After Fauna retreats, we see a shot of Blaze swirling with the power of the Sol Emeralds, filling them with Plasmagic and transforming into Blaze of the Equinox: A nigh-godly figure that commands all of nature.]]

** Sonic discovers that the lava monster in the Obsidian Cavern Zone [[spoiler: actually Bibi, Towa's beloved guardian sprite after being experimented on by Doctor Eggman]], only needs someone strong enough to [[DefeatMeansFriendship best him in combat]] to make him stop long enough to calm down. It becomes peaceful after resting and later returns to assist the other characters during the final battle.

* ThemeMusicPowerUp: Turned against Sonic in ''Myth'' when he breaks Calliope's mask and her battle theme suddenly starts being a lot less instrumental.

** Rushia the Butterfly is based on [[Characters/HololiveJapanGenerationThreeFantasy Uruha Rushia]], who graduated in 2022.
** Sana the Speaker is based on [[Characters/HololiveEnglishGenerationTwoCouncil Tsukumo Sana]], who also graduated in 2022.

* CoolGate: Rabbitholes, also known as the Rabbithole Phenomena. These spatial anomalies act as gateways to other dimensions and are the root cause of most arcs in the first Saga, continuing to be relevant in the second after they get worse due to [[spoiler: being excited by the energy of the Phantom Ruby]]. Starting with the end of ''Resistance'', Tails begins working on a device that can forcibly close these anomalies when they arise as well as a type of radar to detect them.

* SignatureTeamTransport: The MoonRabbit, Usaken's spacecraft and the vessel of the Galactic Starlight Corps during ''Stardust Song''.

** When Kiara is trying to talk Calliope out of going to war with the Atlanteans in ''Myth'' after her fight with Sonic, she mentions that Calliope often ends up resigning herself to the role of the 'big-headed bad guy' so that everyone else can feel better rallying against her. This line comes from the real life idol's song 'guh'. The original context of this phrase refers to the large number of people throwing hateful comments, insults, death threats etc. at Calliope due to factors such as her sudden rise to popularity, and how this song being targeted at that group makes it notably more aggressive and derogatory compared to the rest of her tracks, which are usually written to excite or relate to her audience. In the context of this scene however, Kiara is calling Calliope out on her tendency to throw herself under the bus for the sake of others which, while admirable, is hurting the people that love her and will only make things worse in the long run.

** Nene more than Sora also acts as a {{Foil}} to their narrative counterparts. Sora is a famous idol with little experience while Sonic is a seasoned adventurer with little taste for unwanted attention. In contrast, Nene is a bright ball of optimism that balances Shadow's often juxtaposing stoicism and seriousness when he's acting as the OnlySaneMan in his space crew during the events of ''Stardust Song''.

* GemstoneAssault: Aura Energy in physical form is depicted as crystal, meaning those juiced up on said power such as [[spoiler: Shining Sonic]] gain the ability to expel Aura projectiles as physical crystal missiles rather than some form of energy blast (at least, most of the time). Infinite also wields crystal powers both from his own Aura manipulation as well as the power of the Phantom Ruby, which he learned to create crystal hands from in the same vein as Eggman in VideoGame/SonicMania.

** [[spoiler: When Towa's guardian fairy Bibi]] is mutated into a monster by Doctor Eggman, he needs someone strong enough to [[DefeatMeansFriendship best him in combat]] so that he can come down from his wrathful state.
** For [[spoiler: poor Gura in ''Myth'', however, it takes almost the whole adventure and multiple fights before Sonic and Anya can finally cut her free from the control of Entropy. The entire time, Gura's friends are watching on and hoping beyond hope that Sonic can bring their loved one back to them without killing her.]]

* StarSpangledSpandex: Hoshinova, the Goddess of the Moon, seems to turn those she makes her hosts partially purple starting from the top of the head and moving down, this purple being decorated with actual twinkling stars. Applies to Moona the Rabbit ([[PowerGlow though the stars don't always show]]) and [[spoiler: Shadow the Hedgehog when in his Nova Shadow form.]]

* WeirdCrossover: No but, really. ''Sonic the Hedgehog'', a shounen-inspired video game series about anthropomorphic animals fighting a mad scientist and ''Hololive'', a collective of virtual idol live-streamers? The longer this AU has been in production however, the less outlandish the premise has become. SEGA and Hololive have collaborated multiple times now, [[Characters/HololiveJapanGAMERS Korone Inugami]] has started her journey into the Sonic series and been contacted by ''Sonic[[note]]'s voice actor using a [=Live2D=] model [[/note]] himself'' live on stream! With Korone and Sonic getting chummier by the day, it's become something of a recurring gag behind the scenes that Sonic Holograph is [[{{Canon}} canon]].

** In ''Unbound'', Laplus' {{Catchphrase}} is 'heed my call!' and her subordinates all refer to her as 'my Dark'. This is a play on the real life idol's stream introduction, in which she demands the chat to heed her call and respond with 'YES MY DARK'. This led to many a comedic corruption at Laplus' expense in her livestreams, but Holograph plays it straight as an attention-grabbing phrase and a term of respect in that order.

** In ''Stardust Song'', [[spoiler: Kronii foresees a future in which a giant rabbithole anomaly opens somewhere in the universe as a result of Sana's grave wounds earned in a battle against the Planet-Eater's forces. This rabbithole would be so large that it would suck in local [[AlternateDimension alternate dimensions]], leading to a cataclysm similar to the one Sonic and Blaze fought to prevent in VideoGame/SonicRush. She averts this outcome by using her power as the AnthropomorphicPersonification of Time to spread the 'distortion' generated by Sana's injuries out across time. This causes smaller rabbitholes to open up in the past as well as the future, and they would only last a few weeks before ceasing to appear in theory.]]

* BreakTheCutie: Despite being a rather outlandish girl with questionable hobbies and demeanor, Haachama really was a sweet young lady at heart who only wanted to be herself and live a fun life with her sister Haato. After intense psychological and emotional manipulation at the hands of Infinite, spread out over a considerable length of time, she began to resemble the more well-known depiction of Haachama as an insane EldritchHorror that considers decapitation a party trick and cooking her enemies alive a fun pastime. After she is disconnected from what is essentially a toxic parasitic spirit and left to recover, Haachama is a broken young women filled with bottomless regret at her actions and barely able to leave a hospital bed thanks to the strain she was put under during her stint as a villain.

** On a separate note, Laplus is this to [[spoiler:the main villain of ''VideoGame/ShadowTheHedgehog'', Black Doom, both being the all-powerful leaders of the Black Arms in their respective worlds. Both also attain stronger forms late into their respective plotlines, with Black Doom transforming into Devil Doom and Laplus returning to her original form as Black Laplace.]]

* FixFic: Heavily downplayed, but elements of Infinite's character in ''Resistance'' were expanded upon to give him more of a personal conflict with Sonic rather than the two of them having almost no regard for the other, building on their dynamic in VideoGame/SonicForces. Other elements included writing his arc around his self-titled theme song, which some fans have expressed feeling as though it doesn't really fit him.

* HopeSpringsEternal: Sonic, Blaze and Shadow all find themselves returning to Planet Eden in total chaos thanks to the inciting incidents for ''Resistance'' going off without them. Fortunately, Sonic's trusted ally Sora has started gathering people together in order to keep them safe and cared for, leading to an easy forming of LaResistance. With Sonic on-board and soon some of his most powerful allies from his home dimension, Sora's [[RousingSpeech rousing speeches]] quickly find themselves on a much sturdier foundation.
** Not to mention when Hope is a literal living, breathing entity in this world, you can't really say 'all hope is lost' until [=IRyS=] is well and truly dead. Infinite knows this, hence his plan to get his hands on her.

* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: [[spoiler: When Towa's guardian fairy Bibi]] is mutated into a monster by Doctor Eggman, he only needs someone strong enough to [[DefeatMeansFriendship best him in combat]] so that he can come down from his wrathful state. * KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler: Infinite at the end of ''Resistance''. Sonic's FinishingMove not only destroys the body Infinite worked the entire story to obtain, but is also seen [[CessationOfExistence vaporizing his SOUL]]. Sonic is usually up for giving his foes the benefit of the doubt or thinking them not dangerous enough to warrant stooping to murder, but he has been known to dole out the occasional FateWorseThanDeath such as what he did to [[VideoGame/SonicAndTheSecretRings Erazor Djinn]] as well as claim that he 'can't always be the hero' in VideoGame/SonicAndTheBlackKnight. After everything that Infinite did and planned to do, Sonic not only had no choice but kill him to stop a potential multiversal threat, but [[GoodIsNotSoft for once actually wanted to kill his opponent]] so as to make sure he could never hurt anyone ever again.]]

* LogicBomb: A meta example. Not even Juddy himself knows how the heck Ayame, who can freely swim in lava without difficulty, is capable of getting sunburned.

* NamedByTheAdaptation: Played with. [[Characters/HololiveJapan A-Chan's]] Holograph counterpart is confirmed in [[https://imgur.com/a/tJqJCsq Sora's July 2022]] bio to go by the name 'Asuka', which according to interviews with the idol Tokino Sora is what the 'A' in 'Yuujin-A/Friend A' stands for. Despite this, the name 'A-Chan' has seemingly stuck as her permanent official name, with her never being referred to as Asuka in any of her ''hololive'' appearances.

* RescueIntroduction: Comes up quite frequently across the series as a means by which to get acquainted with the large cast. The first outing has Sonic rescue Watame and Sora from Eggman's robots, ''Plasmagic Seasons'' sees Blaze saving Mel from the clutches of an [[EvilIsHammy overly dramatic witch]] and Matsuri from a [[InvoluntaryDance curse of endless partying]], but the trope is inverted with Haato and Fubuki (Haato is just waiting for her sister to come back and Fubuki is an active combatant trying to do essentially what Blaze is doing with less success thanks to her decidedly not being the protagonist). Various members of Shadow's crew in ''Stardust Song'' are people he rescued from the planets visited along his journey, and ''Resistance'' largely revolves around the titular faction expanding it's numbers by tracking down all the allies from the previous four stories they can and helping them fight back against the chaos that's enveloped the world.

* ThePowerOfHate: Infinite in ''Resistance'', who figures out how to recharge his PowerCrystal via Aura Energy. His method? Since Aura has a positive and negative form, he'll spread [[HopeCrusher mass terror and despair]] to fill the atmosphere with negative Aura and suck it all up via his [[BrainwashedAndCrazy brainwashed]] [[TheHeavy enforcer]], Haachama.

** Silver, Sonic's friend and a known time-traveler hailing from 200 years in the future of his world.
** Special mentions to go Kronii the Warden, who is the AnthropomorphicPersonification of time itself.

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: What happens when you cross ''Sonic'', a series known for it's extended cast, with ''Hololive'', an idol agency with over 50 talents? [[Characters/SonicHolograph Lots of faces and names to remember, that's what.]]

The former details the events of each story (framed as a hypothetical video game) in the intended order, whereas the timeline starts far back in the past and works through and and all time travel nonsense in the natural progression of time in-universe. As such, which one is consumed first comes down to the reader. Both documents, as of this time, are works-in-progress.

* AdaptationalContextChange: A particular favourite of this AU, taking advantage of the various ''Hololive'' media streams such as music, animations and of course livestreams to weave in references that either serve as cute nods to the source material all the way to the occasional OneLiner. ''Sonic'' examples are also present, though due to the nature of these stories taking place after VideoGame/SonicForces, there is currently no arc dedicated to adapting certain parts of the Sonic lore. Examples include:

* InterestingSituationDuel: For his final battle against the Planet-Eater in ''Stardust Song'', Shadow asks Sana to send him and the great monster to the farthest reaches of the universe, so that nobody can get caught in the [[BadassBoast calamity that might arise from their clash]]. He then proceeds to fight a ravenous PlanetEater the size of a celestial body itself on the very borders of known existence within that dimension.

* TheBeastmaster: Spring Blaze can command small animals and is a FriendToAllLivingThings.

* AnIcePerson: Those wielding the power of winter via Plasmagic often gain powers relating to ice and snow, as well as other associations with the season.
** Winter Blaze can create sharp antlers made of ice as well as skates or cleats to modify her movement.
** Zaurus of the Winter leaves sharp ice spikes behind himself after a dash.
** Mio of the Winter draws some elements from the Yuki-onna with her dark hair, long dress and icy breath.
* AnthropomorphicPersonification: The Council are concepts given physical bodies and minds of their own, and as well as administrating their reality are quite ''literally'' the concepts they embody.

* FluffyTheTerrible: 'Bibi' is a shape-shifting little devil fairy that acts as a guardian spirit for Towa the Imp. His cutesy name initially lends itself to the image of a rascally little fella you can't stay mad at for long, [[spoiler: but it becomes far more dissonant after Bibi is experimented on and mutated into a powerful [[LivingLava magma monster]]]].

* GreenThumb: Plasmagic users wielding the power of Spring tend to manifest some form of power over plant-life due to the associations of Spring with new growth of flowers and other such flora.
** Spring Blaze can grow plants ranging from vines to edible crops using magic, employed to either [[CombatTentacles fight and restrain opponents]] or create new routes upon which to travel. Easy access to food at any given moment is also nice, presuming you like your fruits and veggies.
** Reine of the Plasmagic Spring overgrew her palace grounds with giant roots, vines and flowers in her obsessive pursuit of beauty.

* HavingABlast: Though not all users would draw from this, those who command the power of Summer via Plasmagic have been shown to be able to command fireworks as a manifestation of summer festivals.
** Summer Blaze can create fireworks or just their explosions from her hands and feet.

* HolyHandGrenade: Anya's ancient magic is portrayed as being a golden light capable of purifying/smiting evil and removing dark corruption. It's especially effective against BlackMagic and the [[EldritchHorror Ancient Ones]], making her the go-to ally to call upon if an enemy looks at all shady or cursed. By extension, this property also carries over to Sacred Sonic, who just like in his appearance in VideoGame/SonicAndTheBlackKnight is powered by the 'sacred light' of Anya and three other magical weapons.

* ShockAndAwe: Shion and Oga both wield dark powers manifested as purple lightning.
