* WackyCravings: Cadence in Session 16, due to being pregnant with Flurry Heart. It's bad enough that Shining has to organize a nationwide cooking contest in the Crystal Empire just to make enough bizarre food for her.

** Gilda makes a strawberry-topped cheesecake for a male griffon visiting Ponyville. Cut to a thousand years later, where it's revealed said griffon was in fact a ''god'' and her baking caught his attention enough to eventually ''[[PhysicalGod have Gilda become the griffon equivalent of an Alicorn]]'', for making a strawberry-topped cheesecake. She also wears her chef outfit like holy/royal regalia.

* TooDumbToLive: Discord during a round of [[TabletopGames/TombOfHorrors Tomb of Horrors]]. His own foolishness gets his character killed so many times, that in the end [[ThisIsGonnaSuck he decides to conjure Acererak into the game]].

** The Wonderbolts play a ''Monsterpocalypse''-like game, while musing over how HumoongousMecha ARE somewhat practical for fighting giant monsters.

** And THEN we have Twilight (in the ''Equestria Girls'' world), utterly ''demolishing'' a squad of human soldier characters, led by Human!Shining Armor, with fantasy creatures....in a game ''all about'' MugglesDoItBetter, no less!

* LeftHanging: There are a few arcs/sections that seem to end on a cliffhanger, but aren't picked up on. Somewhat inevitable in a RoundRobin, but not a big deal with the loose continuity.

* SelfDeprecation: Alex Warlorn has posted a couple sessions poking fun at his own ''Fanfic/PonyPOVSeries.''

* ShoutOut: Many of the games are this for various series..

* SixthRanger: Starlight Glimmer, as in canon. In several games, her character is this for the group.

''Ponies and Dragons'' is an ongoing RoundRobin WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic fanfic series by [[Creator/AlexWarlorn Alex Warlorn]] (of FanFic/PonyPOVSeries fame). It comprises numerous "sessions", split up into separate vignettes, about the show's cast playing various tabletop games. [[MundaneMadeAwesome Things tend to get a little more epic than a simple board game night, though.]]

{{Derailing}} / OffTheRails: The storylines and themes of some games...aren't always followed to the letter, much to the resident Game Master's annoyance/humiliation. And it's always done ''firmly'' within the game's own rules, without cheating!
* Shining Armor's [[VideoGame XCOM]]-like alien war RPG? The girls basically ''throw the hard military themes out the window'' and convert the aliens with Equestrian pop culture! Poor Shining was left face-down on the table by the end.

GoKartingWithBowser: Many instances of this. Chrysalis gaming with Shining and Cadence; Cabelleron joining Daring Do and the Mane Six for a game...even Pinkie Pie and Scorpan playing with Tirek! (Not that he had much of a choice, but still...)
